#1 She’s Left Before, She Can Leave Again

Is there anyone really wanting to see Chelsea Newman stay in Genoa City? Let’s face it, unlike some of the other ladies in this town, it’s not like Chelsea is someone who people are dying to keep around. She’s not the anti-heroine that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is or the belle of the ball that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is known to be.

#2 Someone Needs To Break The Cycle – And It Won’t Be Adam Newman

How many times can someone get together again just to break up a few short weeks later without coming to terms with the fact that they are in a toxic relationship? For Chelsea, it seems like she just wants something that she can’t have, and that’s a locked-down relationship with Adam Newman. It’s just not going to happen and someone needs to break the cycle. Unfortunately, it won’t be Adam.

#3 Adam Newman Might Not Love Or Even Lust Over Chelsea Newman – She’s More Of A Security Blanket

Let’s face it: Adam Newman is a man with a lot of issues. It’s almost impossible for him to ever be in a serious or at least long-term and committed relationship because of his issues that stem from his childhood. For Adam, there’s a chance that he might not even love or even lust after Chelsea. She’s more like a security blanket for him. But if there’s a bigger blanket out there for Adam, it’s without a doubt that Sharon would be the one holding it.

Chelsea has never had a drama-free life. It doesn’t matter if she’s trying to lay low or if she is actively looking for something – trouble follows her wherever she goes. Perhaps it’s time for her to really pull a Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and maybe try out another fictional town to settle in down for some time.

As much as Chelsea often falls into trouble, one would say that she’s also a very lucky woman who just happens to fall in the right places. But then again, this woman is a born con artist and master manipulator. She needs to forget about Adam and find a news anchor in her life – with a hefty bank account, of course.
