Let’s face it: he’s the perfect Newman. He could easily pass off as Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) brother but is the polar opposite of Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). And unlike his siblings, he’s always keeping his father Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) on his toes, even though the patriarch probably doesn’t want to admit to it. Mark does a great job of bringing a great balance to the character – he’s an outsider who desperately wants to fit in with the family but at the same time he keeps his distance. It’s not an easy role to play, but Mark has managed to bring Adam to a whole new level.

What’s great about Mark Grossman is that he’s showing two sides of Adam Newman that we haven’t seen before, but also can’t help but feel drawn too. Sure, he’s very untrustworthy and manipulative. Just one look on Adam’s face and you can’t help but feel sorry for him that he’s never had a real family life, but at the same time can easily hate him for the cruel things he’s done in the past.
