The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may try to gaslight Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) appearing as a “ghost from the past”. But Phyllis’ ghostly appearances may well be her undoing, as she might be revealed as alive!

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Just Can’t Stay Away From Stirring The Pot?
Even when Phyllis revealed herself to Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) she made it a point to not allow Diane to win, because she’s guilty whether of her murder or not.
She wasn’t even supposed to tell Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) that she was alive, because Phyllis didn’t trust her son with the information.
Anyone else knowing Phyllis survived would mean Diane could be exonerated, and she just can’t stay away from stirring that pot; of course Phyllis also confessed killing Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).
Summer couldn’t keep in that their mom is alive, but Daniel didn’t believe her-he thought Summer was having a nervous breakdown in her grief.

Summer knows that because Phyllis killed Stark, even though in self-defense, she has to stay hidden until someone else is blamed.
Y & R Spoilers – Fighting To Free Diane Jenkins
Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has been fighting to free Diane, trying to think of anything that could exonerate her.
He’s convinced Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) to defend her, even at the risk of his marriage to Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman). Lauren and Michael had a very bad fight since Lauren loved Phyllis and Diane was her enemy, even though Michael just believes everyone is due a defense.
Diane cannot get rid of Jack, even though she told him to leave her alone, because she knew she can’t fight the frame. Jack is trying to avoid a trial at all, especially considering that Stark has been found dead-suggesting the same person, an enemy of Stark’s, likely killed both him and Phyllis.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Gaslighting Ghost
Phyllis will continue plotting revenge against Diane, even from the “grave” and might make appearances as a gaslighting ghost!
Phyllis has a history of making all kinds of reckless mistakes when it comes to her revenge against Diane. Even though Jack didn’t want any more to do with Phyllis over her insane vendetta and rivalry with Diane, he misses her, and Phyllis can’t have that marriage take place.
Phyllis could do really stupid stuff like make phone calls that could be traced through the carrier, or sneak up on Diane in the dark.
Diane’s not stupid enough to fall for Phyllis being a ghost, and once she tells Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) the jig will be up!
