The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Abby Aware Of Threat – Latest Stunt Is Classic Phyllis

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Abby Aware Of Threat – Latest Stunt Is Classic PhyllisAbby Newman (Melissa Ordway) is in the early stages of a new relationship on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She doesn’t have a track record of success in this important area of life, with her arguably most meaningful relationship being with Ben ‘Stitch’ Rayburn (Sean Carrigan), who she married.

While that union didn’t last long, the arc Ordway was part of came to represent the period of Abby’s backstory where full maturation into adulthood happened. No longer fronting the heiress persona, which was a cover for being reckless,

Abby has greatly advanced her career efforts in Genoa City, Wisconsin. Now, she’s also trying to establish a personal relationship with Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) that appears to have real potential. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) intends to thwart Abby’s efforts, which includes pulling the fire alarm at the Grand Phoenix Hotel. That act reinforces this character’s main trait in the minds of longtime fans.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chabs Makes Total Sense

Abby is single, like Chance. Abby was instantly attracted to Chance, a feeling that he reciprocated. This new pairing has many common points of interest. So, why not take a, well, chance?

‘Chabs’ projects as Y&R’s best feel-good couple. That title had been held by ‘Kola’ (Kyle Abbott, Michael Mealor plus Lola Abbott, Sasha Calle) and maybe again someday. But since that duo is having some troubles, shifting focus to Chance and Abby is okay.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Is A Snake, Not A Phoenix

What’s with all this rise from the ashes talk, Phyllis? She must have been binge-watching the famous Dark Shadows arc where Laura Collins (Diana Millay) was an actual phoenix, much to the chagrin of Roger Collins (Louis Edmonds, who also played Langley Wallingford on the beloved All My Children) and other characters on that ground-breaking soap.

In fact, Phyllis has simply gotten her mojo back and is causing trouble, as she often had in the past when Stafford originally embodied this legacy character. So, trying to provoke Abby and pester Chance, because Phyllis believes he has some useful tie to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) doesn’t represent rebirth, a la the phoenix. Instead, it’s classic Phyllis doing what she masterfully does.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chance Chancellor Doesn’t Play Games

Phyllis is fierce, no doubt. But she’s attempting to take on Adam, who she recently feared, and Chance, who knows how to handle himself.

It’s not that both men have never been beaten, but their combined force and common interest in self-preservation make them meaningful opponents, or threats. However, Abby is hardly a slouch in her aptly detailed modern state.

Yes, Phyllis is mischievous and knows how to get people’s goats. But this self-proclaimed phoenix better watch herself. She could easily have her plans derailed by any of the three people she’s targeting, or by the combined trio.
