Since it appears that Abby and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) may be having another argument, let’s talk about what’s coming up. Fans are aware that Chance is fed up with his line of work and the unfair justice he continues to receive. Chance has come to the decision that he can’t do this any longer.

After discussing Chance’s potential profession change, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Chance now seem ready to make the switch. Chance appears to be considering leaving his position at the GCPD, or at the very least, taking a leave of absence to figure things out.

We can’t resist but point out that if Chance had made this decision months ago, his marriage would have benefited. The disintegration of Chance’s relationship with Abby was significantly influenced by his job. If Chance had been ready to leave the GCPD back then, things with Abby might not have been so tight.
Chance always seems to put his business before Abby and their bond as a family. Naturally, Abby must accept responsibility for her mistakes because she shouldn’t have broken her marriage vows by seeing Devon Hamilton instead of her husband (Bryton James). But as Abby learns of Chance’s surprising revelation and career move, it’s hard to blame her for becoming a little upset.

Abby might start to wonder what went wrong in light of Chance’s choice to quit the force. If Chance mentions Sharon leading him down this new path, Abby might become even more furious. Abby might get envious of Sharon’s friendship with Chance and her ability to help him see things clearly. Whatever the case, Abby will likely be upset that Chance departed the GCPD after their marriage was already doomed.
The possibility of reconciliation between Chance and Abby exists, but for now, they feel the tension is too great to even discuss it. Instead, Abby is becoming closer to Devon and Chance is already starting to feel something for Sharon, whether he knows it or not.
