Abby isn’t able to get in touch with her husband, who has been gone from Genoa City, Wisconsin, since early February. Easy math means that it’s been nearly seven months since the newlyweds have seen each other.

Rare phone conversations and the thoughtful gift package Chance sent to his wife in the past don’t cut it. So, when is this character returning, or is Chance never coming back?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Side Story Lines Filled Space

First, Chance was summoned by the Agency. He left town without even saying goodbye, which was unusual no matter the dutiful reasons for his departure.

So, the surrogacy and donation details, that played out rapidly before Chance left, made sense in retrospect. But what could have been a completely uplifting storyline was overshadowed by Chance’s exit.

The manner in which Chabs’ baby came to be born and the unexpected Ben Stitch Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) angle felt like full distractions from Boaz’ character being written out. Yes, Chance is still referenced. But to have him miss all that’s happened makes fans wonder what’s ahead for all involved?

Y&R Spoilers – Mariah Copeland Damaged By Events

Poor Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). She joyfully agreed to serve as a surrogate and then she’s kidnapped by Stitch. Come on, what type of twisted justice is that?

Now Mariah is suffering from what can be described as a form of post traumatic stress disorder. Of course, Stitch suffered a mental breakdown himself. That’s what led to him acting out in a way that he never had before.

So, Mariah will remain rightfully upset and uncertain about what tomorrow will bring until Stitch is caught. Hopefully this part of the wild arc isn’t left dangling as well.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Is Chabs Over Or Just In Limbo?

Boaz publicly said that he was told by TPTB that his character wasn’t going to be killed off or recast. That tell has held true to date.

Assuming that what’s known stays in force, Boaz will return as Chance at some point or this character will remain off-screen. If Chance is away on his assignment indefinitely, then how will that be reasonably explained?

Along with the above, can Abby be expected to raise Chabs’ son on her own and also remain without her spouse? Far too many answers are needed in this part of Y&R.

      I am sorry to have to say that at this point it doesn't matter if Chance comes back. It doesn't matter how fortunate Abby is the writers seem hell bent in making this character a spoiled, sniveling, childish, self obsessed idiot. At this point it would be understandable why your partner would relish an excuse to take a job away from home to get away from the constant sniveling and whining. She is becoming the most tedious character. She is fast approaching her 40s but acts like a child. Katie is more mature and throws less tantrums. Bring Chance back and loose Abby until she can grow up and become an adult.

      be with her and baby Dominic Newman – Abbott Chancellor
      She is a great actress and Mariah's got to stop calling Abby's baby boy 'Bowie'

      Being chance dont give a shit aorbout his family but loves his job more,,Abby should be nice and just give Mariah back the baby!!!! Mariah likes baby much more than Abby…Mariah should keep baby for that reason ….If chance really cared he would be there..There's no excuse!!!! He really doesnt care that much and its so obvious..Anybody can quit their job and or get immediatly fired if they wanted but chance doesnt want to….Give baby bowie back to Mariah!!!!!!!!!!!

      On & Don't Think Twice, In My
      Opinion The Writers Messed
      This Character Up, So Let
      ABBY Move On & Let NINA
      Go Find Het Son & Tell Him
      He's A Bonehead For Loosing
      Her, ABBY Is To Strong A
      Character To Sit Around
      Waiting On CHANCE To
      Return, He's A Total DEAD
      BEAT HUSBAND.

      Her Off To Find Her Son
      & Tell Him That ABBY DOES
      NOT Need Him, She Wanted
      A Child & She Found A Way
      To Have Him She Could
      Have Welcomed His Input
      & Help But The Writers
      Blew It By Not Recasting
      CHANCE, Now ABBY Can
      Move On & Besides She
      Has More Support Than
      Most, So Move On With
      Out DEADBEAT HUBBY
      CHANCE, & Find STITCH
      & Send Him To The Same
      Place His Son Is In, Cause
      He's A Looney Tune To
      Kidnap MARIAH & Put
      Her Through All That.
