The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will argue over Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). Might there be a custody fight ahead?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Connor Newman Forced

Adam takes exception to Chelsea forcing Connor to accept who he’s always known as his cousin Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) as his brother. Chelsea forced Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) into a decision she didn’t think Johnny was ready for, and now she’s forcing Connor and Johnny to accept each other as brothers. Adam is seeing Chelsea going off the deep end and making bad decisions; he remembers Connor’s frustration when he was forced to accept his other brother Christian Newman (Alex Wilson).

Adam doesn’t think Connor is adapting well and he has had emotional problems before. Now it looks like he’s getting emotional problems and beginning to act out again, even though he was much younger the last time.

Y & R Spoilers – Chelsea Lawson Emotionally Dependent

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam has had the talk with Chelsea before that Connor was never meant to be her confidant; he’s just a little boy and not meant to handle adult problems. Chelsea has been using their son as her therapist, or close to it, and Adam told her that has to stop; she’s been spiraling ever since Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) died.

But Chelsea seems to just be getting worse and worse, and Victoria is just as frustrated. The one area where Victoria and Adam agree is their children and their welfare, and they both feel that Chelsea is stepping over way too many lines. Adam thinks her fascination with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and trying to get him back is what’s driving her insistence on Johnny and Connor knowing they’re brothers; Victoria agrees.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Custody Fight?

Adam knows that the way Chelsea is spiraling that soon it will not be good for her to be Connor’s custodial parent. She barely lets him see his son the way it is, even though Connor has expressed interest in being with him. Adam is very concerned that it may have to come down to a custody fight between the two because she is making such selfish and poor decisions.

If it is one thing that Adam thought Chelsea would never do, it is act against the best interests of their son. But lately, it seems more and more that is exactly what she’s doing and he considers taking immediate action.
