After Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) found Adam, he came back to Genoa City and immediately underwent surgery. He donated his kidney to Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster). Around that same time, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) was coerced into confessing. Rey realizes that he was wrong and Adam didn’t poison him. He also has accepted Sharon’s word that nothing happened with Adam. The two are back together, which made Faith really happy.

The Young and the Restless spoilers from the new issue of Soap Opera Digest confirm that Adam and Sharon’s connection will continue to be a storyline. The summer preview teases that “Shadam” has reconnected, but they try to go back to their separate lives. Adam wants to focus on Newman Media and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). Meanwhile, Sharon and Rey have kissed and made up.

However, they will learn that resisting their connection is more difficult than either of them realized. Co-executive producer and head writer Josh Griffith told the publication,

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: ‘Shadam’ In The Future?

Even though Rey and Sharon are back together, some “Shadam” fans said they felt cheated. There was a big hint that the two might end up back together. During Adam and Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) chess fantasy, Chelsea was the queen. Adam was told that everyone knows Sharon is his real queen. It was brought up that the queen is the person who stands by him.

As fans know, Sharon was the first person Adam turned to when he was a fugitive. He reached out to Sharon before turning to his own father. Despite not being sure if Adam’s crazy story was true, she still stood by him and even tried helping clear his name. Perhaps “Shadam” fans will still get what they want.
