CBS The Young and The Restless spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) may be planning a murder! In Genoa City, Wisconsin Adam is convinced he has nothing left to lose, and the loss of Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) friendship was the last straw!
The Young and The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Went Looking For Sharon Newman For Support And Feels She Is His Soulmate
With the memories of killing AJ Montalvo and threats of the murder in Las Vegas coming out, Adam feels like he can’t win. He went looking for Sharon for support, not feeling that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) understands him as well as Sharon does.
He buttonholed her on the patio at Crimson Lights, first asking about her cancer case. She senses he’s in pain, and he tells her it is no coincidence that he ran into her, as the person who understands him better than anyone else. She tells him she hasn’t gotten her biopsy results back yet, but he needs to go home to Chelsea. She can no longer be together as he wants to.
He feels at loose ends as she explains that now, years later his kidnapping of Faith Newman (Alivia Alyn Lind) as a baby affects her differently. She can no longer tolerate being close with him and besides, she wants to spend her life with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) going forward. Adam can’t believe what he is hearing. She finally admits that she will never love Rey in the same way she loved Adam, but it’s too complicated with him. Adam leaves, feeling defeated and rejected.
Y&R Spoilers – Adam Newman Goes To Crimson Lights And Hears Something He Doesn’t Want To Hear
A couple of days later Adam goes by Crimson Lights, and inadvertently hears something he doesn’t want to hear. Rey is there with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and they are talking. Rey announces that he and Sharon are getting married, and talks to Nick about being his best man! Adam is blindsided! This news is definitely bad – for Adam.
He obviously still has in his mind that somehow, someway he and Sharon could have a future together; in spite of that he’s still with Chelsea! For Adam, it’s like everything Sharon told him went in one ear and right back out the other one. Then he tries to figure out how he can get back with her. The two of them go back so many years, and if she loved him so much back then, how can she say they can’t even be friends? Sharon actually didn’t say they couldn’t be friends, but to Adam all he feels is rejection and so that is how he heard it. Soon, his mind goes where he doesn’t want it to go, but he feels it’s doomed to go there.
After all, he killed a man when he was eleven years old, and it must be right that he really is a monster! He desperately wants Sharon to do what Chelsea has not been able to – to validate him and convince him that he really isn’t a monster. But until he changes his mindset, even Sharon won’t be able to convince him otherwise. He pulls out a newspaper clipping he’s kept secretly at home – a photo of Rey and Sharon together.
It was an announcement for the free Thanksgiving for the poor of Genoa City they held at Crimson Lights. He lights it with a match and puts it in the fireplace. Later, he makes a call. He tells the person to put a tail on Rey – to follow him everywhere, to track where he goes and what he does. It sounds like Adam is plotting a murder – aiming to eliminate his competition for Sharon!

I hope not far, to put Sharon in harms way. Adam is nuts. He needs to leave her alone. She is just to get back on her feet. Sharon don"t need him to mess things up for her. She don"t need Rey either, he"s to controlling. I say go it alone and see how that works for her. She always depended on Nick, and we all know how that went. I was hoping Nick might come around and see he really does love her and needs her. What do you think? Please not Rey sure not Adam that"s crazy. Need to keep eyes on Adam for now. Nick needs to protect Sharon and Faith before someone gets hurt.
stupid storyline… One day he is in love with chelsea and the next day Sharon is his soul mate???? I call BS… Nick and Sharon are soulmates – at least when Nick thinks with the head that is attached to his shoulders and not the other one.. what about Chelsea???? Adam and Sharon BOTH make me sick – those 2 deserve each other. AND who has not one – but two surgeries for cancer and chemo and still looks like Sharon does with full makeup ALL the time?? so unrealistic – the writers really missed the opportunity here to tell a compelling story.
I truly hope that Adam cools his jets ..he is really spiralling downward quickly. I was very angry hearing Victoria say he isn't family ..sadly like it or not Vic he's your baby brother and what's with all this high and mighty crap they are all pulling saying Adam is evil ..Nick Victoria and even Nikki have done some horrible things…Sadly listening to Ashley go off on Victor about his protecting his son ..he's done some bad things…Ashley did a dirty on Jack last year nearly drove him out of his mind all because he was setting in motion the you must be an Abbott to be Jabot CEO .. that's not the only thing Ashley has done she has more skeletons in her closet ..like hey she stole Victor's DNA and inserted herself and viola along comes Abby and she lied about whose daughter she was ..she let Abby and the world believe she was a Carlton. Sorry so much crap ..I honeslty feel bad for Adam they are all piling on and none of them have the right ..they all have skeletons in their closets and btw had Nick and Victoria and Nikki embraced Adam for real into the Newman family likely none of the stuff he did would have been done!
