The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Adam Makes Dangerous Admission – Ashland’s Rage Is Not Healthy

The Young And The Restless: Adam Newman (Mark Grossman)The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has decided not to try and please his father anymore. In what could prove to be a personally disastrous reversion, Adam told Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) that he not only wants to bring Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) down, but he also wants to topple his father.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) talked with Adam after Victoria explained how she defeated Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). Grossman’s character was stewing at Society because he was ousted approximately a week after being appointed Newman Enterprises’ Chief Executive Officer.

Adam told Victor he believed he was not in league with Victoria, and the CEO appointment was not part of a coordinated plan. Yet Adam told Sally that he believes Victor has continually insulted and humiliated him.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Excellent Backstory Line Should Override Current Developments

Adam arrived in Genoa City, Wisconsin as a young adult in 2008. Chris Engen (Adam) was the SORAS’d (soap opera rapid aging syndrome) replacement for what had been a child character in the years leading toward that point.

Soap-time can be adjusted backward and forwards, as was true in Dark Shadows or the final episode of Guiding Light. There are other shows where time was bent as well.

A Y&R mini-arc retrospective, that was shown in 2020 via flashbacks, revealed that Adam (played by child actor, Dane West) killed a man in defense of his mother. Grossman’s edition of the character blocked that horrific part of his life out, including the protective role Victor played in it in what was an excellent backstory line.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Kansas Grudge Dates Back Years

Adam does not value the significance of what his father did for him all those years ago. Instead, he has defaulted to the woe is me, outcast posture that has so often derailed personal progress.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) demonstrated a level of understanding he never had before when he and Adam were on the farm in Kansas following the flashback story line. That advanced their relationship beyond nonacceptance to a genuine brotherly bond.

In his mind, Adam feels comfortable harboring grudges. His initial grievance was that Victor abandoned him and Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman) when he was a boy. But Adam knows that was not true, as Hope felt she and her then baby were not suited for the rough GC world.

Y&R Spoilers – Ashland Locke Seeks To Exploit

Will Adam be foolish enough to throw in with the likes of Ashland Locke (Robert Newman)? At first blush, it seems like it.

Ashland intentionally approached Adam at Crimson Lights. His new, clean-shaven appearance was part of a signal. Ashland believes he and Adam share a common enemy in the Newman family and should fight them together.

However, a later scene of rage in Ashland’s hotel room confirms that Newman’s character is unstable. So, viewers should expect Ashland’s anger to scorch Grossman’s character if Adam allows himself to be used.

  1. Sugar says

VICTOR AND VICTORIA SHOULD LOSE EVERYTHING AND ADAM SHOULD BE THE ONE TO RECOVER THE BUSINESS, THEN WALK AWAY FROM THE NEWMANS. NICKI IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HER CHILDREN NOT EXCEPTING THEIR BROTHER. SHE HAS ALWAYS CONSIDERED HER AND VICTOR AND THEIR CHILDREN TO BE A FAMILY. FOR YEARS WHEN VICTOR WAS INVOLVED WITH OTHER WOMEN SHE WOULD ALWAYS THROW THE FAX THAT SHE WAS THE MOTHER OF HIS CHILDREN. THEY TREATED ABBY LIKE CRAP UNTIL THEY NEEDED HER HELP. VICTORIA IS AS CORRUPT AS VICTOR AND AS CRUEL AS NICKI. ADAM NEEDS TO RISE ABOVE THEM AND GO BUILD HIS LIFE WITH SALLY.
