The Young And The Restless: Adam Newman (Mark Grossman)The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is in a very dark place right now. While he’s finally getting the mental health treatment he’s long needed, Adam’s blame game with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) continues unabated.

Victor is not the reason why Adam’s made terrible, even criminal, choices through the years. But his refusal to take personal responsibility eventually led his father and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) to have him involuntarily committed to a mental health facility where a unique opportunity awaits.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Everyone Won’t Be On Board

Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) are two of the people who aren’t primed to offer their distrusted brother another chance, no matter how much treatment he receives, or with whatever his eventual proclamations about trying to be better human being are. Decades of a dysfunctional Newman family dynamic will further that mutual outlook.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) lost their daughter, Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono), because they believe Adam accidentally hit her and didn’t report the incident after he came to believe he’d caused her death. It seems that Billy is currently being framed, possibly by Adam, for the attempted shooting that resulted in Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) being hit.

Billy and Chloe will never see Adam as worthy of their consideration, unless it’s proven that he didn’t hit Delia. And maybe not even then.

Y&R Spoilers – Diagnosis And Road To Recovery

Adam suffered what seems to be a nervous breakdown as a result of the intense stress he’s been under for months. His past efforts to double-dose Victor’s medicine nearly killed the Moustache, with broke Adam’s mind at the time.

More recently, the Kansas accidental murder reveal overwhelmed Adam. He broke down again and was planning some type of attack against Victor, Victoria, Nick, and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), who Adam requested to meet him in the Chief Executive Officer’s office at Newman Towers. Thankfully the younger version of himself, as played by Dane West (Adam), which was his conscience and possibly the departed Hope Wilson’s (Signy Coleman) intervention, caused the planned tragedy to be called off.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chelsea Lawson Can’t Give Up On Love

As a result of all of the above Adam is in a locked room and will be forcibly made to take a hard look at himself. No matter what happens and even if he escapes, Adam will have gained the sympathy vote from people beyond Victor and Sharon.

Chelsea remains his greatest champion, even including Victor. Adam must rely on her full support moving forward. If he’s able to do so, Chelsea’s recommendation to try and make permanent peace with family should be pursued as well.
