Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) was offered numerous chances at revenge plays against the Newman family on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) actually tore a check worth millions of dollars to shreds that Grossman’s character hastily gave her because she was gambling that Adam would eventually revert to his twisted form.

So, how interesting Phyllis’ reaction is to Adam’s not so surprising suggestion. He wants ‘Red’ to play up to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), so ‘Chick’ will break.

Phyllis has been flirting with Nick in recent weeks. He’s actually been the only man who’s been willing to tell her the time of day, in between their gaming sessions.

Considering ‘Phick’s’ many moments in history and their permanent bond through Summer Newman (Hunter King), Adam knows that Phyllis would revive her relationship with Nick in a heartbeat if her ex-husband wanted the same. So, she doesn’t want to give Adam any ability to claim involvement if (when) a ‘Phick’ reboot happens.

Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is the current love of Adam’s life. It’s arguable to say that she has held and may always occupy the largest part of his heart.

Their bond through Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is being tested due to that poor soul’s expanding mental health crisis. Unable to comfort their son, Adam and Chelsea are beside themselves as fall gets set to fist bump winter.

Adam knows that Chelsea and Nick have a strained relationship, due to Connor’s issues and her having moved into the penthouse. So, ‘Chadam’s’ own revival is actually within reach because of ‘Chick’s’ problems, which may prove unsolvable.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Wants To Be An Ally

Adam has repeatedly told Phyllis that he’s done seeking revenge against anyone in his family, including Nick. So the offer isn’t being couched as that.

Stafford’s classically dark edition of her character can say whatever she wants to Adam. The truth is that Phyllis still loves Nick and believes that whatever he has with Chelsea won’t last. So all Adam is really saying is that Phyllis can be his ally, which is what she’s been asking for, while also getting what she wants.

Win-win for Adam and Phyllis if that happens. Of course, Nick would be left with no one, which does seem like revenge. Isn’t that right, Adam?
