Viewers recall that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) took care of Chelsea after the life-threatening incident she caused on the Grand Phoenix rooftop. Ensuring that she received professional help in a secure location was vital.

Billy and Sharon debated telling Adam about Chelsea’s whereabouts. But Sharon insisted that Adam and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) deserved to be generally informed.

Billy remained initially uncertain about telling Adam. But that was due to the longstanding grudge Thompson’s character has against Adam.

Kudos to the writing staff for crafting a storyline that weaves Johnny Abbott’s (Paxton Mishkind) biological parents into a tale that also includes Adam and Sharon. The history this quartet of characters share and the potential for developing drama between various pairings of them makes for good soap.

Chelsea wanted to reconcile with Adam in the recent past, but he rejected her request. Egan’s character later kissed Billy during their short-lived podcast pairing. He rejected the overture due to his relationship with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).

Y&Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Steps Up

Adam does care about Chelsea. He is not in love with her, as he was on more than one occasion, with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) being the current object of his affection.

But Sally told Adam no when he recently asked her to again consider reconciling with him. She is banking on Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) as her new love. This pairing is encouraging.

So, Adam is free. But he has rarely been without a romantic interest for long. Chelsea becomes a realistic revival option for him.

Chelsea was a lost soul when she was standing on that ledge. Billy bravely talked her down.

Trust has often been an issue with Adam. While Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) is strongly opposed to Chelsea ever involving herself with Adam again, momentum for this re-pairing may be picking up.

Egan’s character recognizes that she needed help and is grateful to have received it. Whether getting better is furthered with Adam’s help remains to be seen. But she will appreciate his initial visit on Y&R.
