The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) knows what it is like to take too much on. He told that to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) after she discussed her disagreement with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson).

Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) has a lot of ideas now that Jabot is officially acquiring Marchetti. She, along with her husband, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), pitched Chelsea to design for them.

Egan’s character loved the idea because it was approved by Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman). This new opportunity would allow Chelsea to explore unexpected professional avenues. But Chloe and Adam see the same warning signs.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – An Initial Meeting Of The Minds

The push is on to have Chelsea remain vulnerable. For whatever reason, TPTB want her to continue dwelling on Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) death.

Chelsea was over her mental health issues, which Adam provoked in the recent past. She received institutionalized therapy and was allowed to travel with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to care for her mother, Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach). Rey accompanied them and verified that all went well.

Adam, like Chloe, believes Chelsea is taking on too much as compensation for a hole in her personal life. They are worried about Chelsea, which she has been defensive about.

So, why have Chelsea react on the downside a while after Rey dies? There must be more planned for this story line path, as it currently feels somewhat contrived.

Y&R Spoilers – Billy Abbott Redux Is Possible?

As viewers saw, it appears like Chelsea’s eye will turn back to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Devoted fans know that Egan’s character debuted on Y&R as a con artist who Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) paid to trap Billy (then played by Billy Miller). That plan resulted in the birth of Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare), who Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) later adopted and continues to raise with Billy.

The character Thompson now plays is solidly with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). So, there is no logical path for him to stray from her. Plus, a revived connection with Chelsea would not seem possible considering this pairings history.

However, Billy is Billy, as all Y&R fans know. Chelsea is ever-appealing, and maybe writing her off-balance gives her something in common with Billy. Could that be the reason why she offered a contrarian opinion about his podcasts, as that might be the start of a conversation that develops into something more?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chloe Mitchell Is Bothered

Just as Chelsea’s mental anguish seems a bit much, so does Chloe’s irritation with her best friend. But to be fair, Adam also reminded Chelsea that Chloe once cut up her designs at a fashion show.

The history lesson was needed to make the rift between Chelsea and Chloe seem reasonable. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), always the opportunist and no fan of Chelsea, happened upon Chloe when she wanted to vent.

However, just as Chelsea defended Chloe to Adam, Chloe defended Chelsea to Sally. Yet, the tension between Egan and Hendrickson’s alter egos seems too juicy to be dropped. Sally is likely to attempt to exploit it for business and personal revenge reasons.
