Adam took his oldest sister by surprise when telling her he and Sally were done. But he follows that by harshly telling Sally the same, though she senses that her newfound love is playing a protection game.

Adam went to Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) after being approached at Crimson Lights. Ashland’s suggestion that they share common enemies was one that Adam accepted.

There is no doubt that Adam is angry his father once again passed over him to Victoria’s benefit. As Adam sees it, Victor has forgiven Victoria for allowing Ashland to cause chaos and has not created a consequence for the resulting stress.

Sally knows how Adam feels and understood why he did not want to stay at Newman Media. But she suspects his breakup story is a ruse. Fans are wondering if he is hiding under multiple covers, with one of his targets being Ashland?

Y&R Spoilers – Ashland Locke Goes To Jail

Victor is sympathetic to Adam’s cause, whether Grossman’s character believes it or not. The founder of Newman Enterprises believes that Victoria is far more suited to head the business and that Adam can benefit by proving himself in what is now one of its divisions.

Ashland’s arrest proves that Victor is not upset with Adam. Instead, he wants to punish Victoria’s annulled husband because he has refused to leave town.

The violation of Ashland’s restraining order was aided by Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) help. Her duplicity serves to temporarily remove Ashland from the chess board.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Sally Spectra Has A Bright Future

Unless Adam goes too far, Sally will remain loyal to him. Her feelings will be hurt by the act he is performing, in claiming to want a break, but their connection is real and still probably trends toward eventual marriage.

Adam does not want Sally to lose her Newman Media CEO title because she cares about him. His underlying intent is to deal with Victoria and Ashland.

As for Victor, Adam needs to be careful how he handles his father. Long-time fans know that Victor can be forgiving of his youngest son but also applies lasting discipline when feeling spurned.
