The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam’s Near-Death Experience, Pays the Price for Nick’s Reckless Matt Plan? The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is still struggling with his drug addiction, so he’s not thinking clearly and could put people he cares about in jeopardy as a result.

Based on Nick’s pitch in Y&R’s May 13 episode, he wants to go after Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) and get Matt to take a swing at him. Nick intends to provoke Matt into launching an attack so that he can claim self-defense when he takes his enemy’s life.

The goal is for Detective James Burrow (Matt Cohen) to be there and ultimately back Nick up with his testimony.

However, the truth is that Nick is premeditating Matt’s murder, so Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is quite concerned about the road his brother’s headed down.

That’s why Adam feels like Nick needs to be neutralized before he can do something he regrets. It’s obvious that Adam is once again trying to be a protective brother here.

Nick can’t really be rational when it comes to Matt, especially when his drug addiction is still warping his thoughts and actions. Since Adam is determined to step up and save Nick from going to extremes, he could put his own life on the line in the process.

Detective Burrow might agree with Adam’s concerns and try to figure out another way to deal with Matt. Unfortunately, Nick is fixated on this fatal Matt solution and wants to be the one who ends him for good.

Matt has amnesia at the moment, but he’s still dangerous. When Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) came after Matt at the park café, Matt held his own and threw a punch.

Matt could do far worse than that if Nick legitimately tries to kill him. Adam may attempt to intervene before Nick gets himself thrown behind bars, but that could put Adam in the crossfire.

That brings us to a clue Joshua Morrow offered during an interview with SOD back in April. It seems like a good time to revisit it now that danger is likely on the verge of erupting again.

“But if, because of this addiction, he did something horrible, that somebody he loved got injured or somebody he really cared about paid for it, that would be rock bottom for him,” Morrow teased.

That could line up with Nick’s reckless Matt plan putting Adam’s own life at stake. Adam could be seriously injured by the end of all this, so stay tuned for any troubling news to come.

The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Nick may regret how he chooses to handle Matt if Adam has a near-death experience ahead of him! CTS’s where you want to be for great Young and the Restless spoilers and news, so visit us often for more Y&R details.
