Victoria allowed her personal feelings for Ashland to blind her. And yes, that is a reference to when Adam (as then played by Michael Muhney) exaggerated a vision issue that was based on a genetic condition he inherited from his mother, Hope Newman (Signy Coleman).

Allowing Ashland to connive his way into her life was Victoria’s first mistake. Taking the lead on the merger idea was the next. But marrying him, while discounting everything loved ones told her, proved disastrous.

Yes, Victor accepted Victoria’s ultimatum in the recent past. He allowed his firstborn to assume the CEO title.

Sally’s full support for whatever Adam wants is not wise. She is not the type of confidant that has been willing to say Adam has gone too far or is risking too much.
