Y&R spoilers reveal that Adam has done a lot of terrible things over the years. However, he really seemed to be changing his ways and trying to be a better man. Unfortunately, there are some people that refuse to give Adam that chance. One person who refuses to give Adam any benefit of the doubt is Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

In order to avoid Adam getting a chance of being co-CEO, Victoria suddenly promoted Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Adam tried to talk to Victoria about her decision, but she refused. Then, finding out that Victor supports Victoria’s decision could revert Adam to his old ways.

The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of May 9 reveal that Adam has decided to give up. Adam considers completely cutting ties with the Newman family. However, when Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) finds out about Nikki’s promotion, he jumps into action. Nick predicts that there will be hell to pay and works to do damage control with Adam.
Adam doesn’t just want to cut ties with the Newman family. Adam decides he is going to get the ultimate revenge by going after his father’s legacy.

The preview clip for the week of May 9 shows Adam having a conversation with Sally. Adam knows he can trust her with his new plan because of her own confession. As fans recall, Sally and Adam bonded over both faking an illness to accomplish a goal. As some fans predicted, it was a foreshadowing of what’s to come.

Adam tells Sally that he’s going after Newman Enterprises. Adam says that he wants his father’s company… every last bit of it. Adam definitely looks full of rage in the video clip. As for Sally, she seems worried but will probably help Adam any way she can. However, will Adam get what he wants, or could this have a very bad ending for the character?

Well, Adam will have a fight on his hand. Victor Newman will not sit back and let Adam or anyone else take what he did to have a successful business away from him. Adam is acting like a brat with the gold-digging Sally on his arm. The one person Victor have always wanted to take over for him is Nickalos. Hopefully this will give Nick a change of heart if Adam goes after his father's company and bring Adam down.
I think the writers are now trying to protect Victoria, the Ice Princess. Why turn Adam into the villain again? When all that is needed is for Victoria to start trusting in Ashland again by letting him back into her life. Ashland started this war with the Newmans, so let him finish it with the Ice Princess having to step down with mud on her face. Adam can prove that he is able to run Newman Enterprises by Victor giving him Newman Media to run without the Ice Princess being his boss. He can be his own boss and show his father that he can take Newman Media to the top by bringing down Victoria and Ashland. Let Adam use Newman Media to do some background check on Ashland and find out the entire story on Ashland and how he was able to steal Camilla Rose company for himself. Ashland could be using the same tactics now by trying to steal Newman from under Victoria and Nikki. Adam investigation could take him to the sister of Camilla Rose who Ashland had taken to Peru where no one will be able to find her. This Camilla Rose could be the mystery woman that no one ever knew about. We still need to know whether Ashland ever got a divorce from Tara, because if he didn't then his marriage to Victoria is fake (but the Newman don't seem to know that). One more thing, Harrison should turn out to be Theo and Tara's son. A little drama there could keep the Abbott's in the spotlight.
I agree with you mook but Nicholas is not a business man. His business skills are letting someone else run the business and he just sign the paychecks. I am just tired of the Newman's using Adam as their escape goat when they can't fix a situation. Adam is really more like Victor than Victoria. He can be cold and very cold when need be and he can be loving as a father, when it comes to his son, Connor. His mother, Hope, raised him to be a good man and it's time for him to be accepted as one. He has had to fight for everything and was never accepted by Nikki and her children.
Yep I love Victor but he should really know by now- Adam is not like his other kids- he craves Victors approval more than the rest. And if I were Victor, I would have removed Victoria for falling for Ashland and damn near giving the company over to him. Everyone makes mistakes in love but she has made so many in business and love. If they know how Adam is, they all need to be more sensitive to his situation. Adam played by all of their rules and where did it get him- not being able to advance because of his past because let’s face it, they will never let him advance. He should go out on his own, let the Newman company go on like it has been. Victoria was so smug and condescending when she didn’t have to be when she thought Ashland was truthful. Every time Adam does something ‘good’ he is questioned and badgered, he will never be looked upon like a real Newman though Nick has screwed over his dad many times as well as Victoria.
The powers that be on this show seem to have a few actors they favor and will bend over backwards for them. The actress playing Victoria seems to be one of them. Big story trying to make her a ruthless professional business woman but then they are too scared to let her suffer the consequences. Not talented enough to write her out from under being a prize bitch they try to fool us with her being a poor virgin bride type ploy and a hovering family like she's a child. And whose always the actor/character to be sacrificed so Victoria can come out on top Adam. This is getting really old, if they are going to give Victoria a big story go the distance! Victoria has been reduced to daddys spoiled little girl giving the jealous, selfish child everything even the other siblings company he was working on with his father Victor to repair their relationship. Victoria doesn't deserve to be gifted everything at Newman at the expense of Adam when stupidly she nearly lost the company by being manipulated by her grandpa of a husband! Strangely somehow though Adam can be punished by Victor with selling the business from under him for much lesser business errors. Lip service scripts can't fix bad writing. Telling fans characters are successful and highly intelligent don't fly when they are acting out stories that are the very opposite. At least save Adam by giving him the intelligence to tell Victor to shove his company if he is never going to treat Adam equally to Victoria.
