The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) didn’t want Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) to push Y&R’s newest character. But he did and that created two initially negative consequences.

The gist of Jared (Michael Maclane), a recurring character without a last name, being written into the show appears intended to help develop the backstory of Morgan’s new alter ego. As longtime fans know, Morgan initially played another person in Genoa City, Wisconsin. And, the electric Hilary Curtis’ (Morgan’s first role on Y&R) real name was Ann Turner.

Hilary apparently never knew that she had a sister. So, Amanda’s reference to being part of the foster care system rightly raised eyebrows among the audience. It was a slightly deeper dive into a plot point that surely must be defined.

Y&R Spoilers – Devon Hamilton’s Link Discussed

Devon lived in the foster care system before he was adopted by Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell) and Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John). Amanda told him, during their discussion about what’s best for Jared, that she’d confirmed Devon’s presence in the system while working for Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers).

The importance of Devon and Amanda discussing their own common childhood experiences likely means that the writing staff is opening a storyline where viewers will learn if Hilary is her identical twin. That’s an eventually explosive arc that certainly would result in James and Morgan’s personas growing closer, even if by default of what’s learned.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Elena Dawson Believes In Love

There’s no doubt that Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) is in love with Devon and that he has come to care about her. They appear to be soul mates who are destined to marry.

Elena and Devon’s relationship has been progressing nicely. She helped him to deal with ongoing panic attacks that lasted for many months after Hilary died and to work through the grief process after Neil’s passing.

Sure, Devon will always have a place in his heart for his deceased wife and their unborn child, who died as a result of the car crash that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) accidentally caused. Intriguingly, Khalil’s longtime character has just returned to GC as well.

For whatever her reasons, Rose Turner (Leslie Stevens) apparently had twin girls. She seemingly gave Amanda up for adoption or placed her in the foster care system.

Hardcore soap fans knew the instant Morgan was revealed to be playing a new character that Amanda’s link to Hilary would be explored and, or confirmed. Viewers will likely learn what Amanda’s genetic history is this spring. With that knowledge, Elena and Devon’s solid link could be threatened.
