The Young And The Restless: Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson)CBS The Young and the Restless spoilers and rumors indicate there’s a new family mystery involving Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams). Ever since Dina’s return to town, the Abbott family has been shaken up in more ways than one.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and his sisters Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) had to deal with their unresolved feelings about their mother abandoning them when they were kids.

Then the family came together when doctors diagnosed Dina with Alzheimer’s disease. With Dina not having much time left, the Abbott siblings have been trying to cherish every moment they have with Dina.

Yet, while delving in Dina’s past for material for their biography, Traci and Jack discovered a secret.

The Young And The Restless spoilers – Adoption

It turned out that Dina had a child with Stuart Brooks (formerly Robert Colbert) that she gave up for adoption. Jack and Traci then went on a search for their sibling and discovered their brother was the late Eric Vanderway (Jon Briddell), the father of Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson).

Upon learning that Theo was their nephew; Jack, Traci, and Ashley welcomed him into the family. However, one person wasn’t thrilled with the news and that’s Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).

The two men have been engaged in a rivalry the past year, and tensions have further increased now that Theo is part of the family.

However, another rewrite for the Abbott family could be in store.

Upcoming previews say that Jack and Traci will delve into another mystery from Dina’s past. This has left fans curious about what more Dina could’ve hidden from her family.

One theory is that the new mystery will have something to do with her grandson Theo.

Speculation is that Jack will discover that Eric isn’t Dina’s child, which means that Theo isn’t related to them.

Y&R Spoilers – Theo Vander Switched Results

Even though a DNA test did prove Theo is Dina’s grandson, as soap fans know they can’t be trusted. A plot twist could show there was a mix-up, or possibly that Theo switched the results.

It would be a huge twist if it was revealed that Theo tampered with the DNA results. While everyone considers Theo a bad boy, he’s shown that he has a softer side. When he first met Dina, he bonded with her, and the hearts of fans melted at watching their interactions.

While Theo is known to have a bad rep, he’s been trying to change due to his love for Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle). Lola makes him want to be a better man and he’s slowly making progress. But having him switch the DNA results would be a huge downfall for his character. He’d end up losing everything he loves, including Lola.

Whether Theo switched the results or there was a mix-up, fans believe that Theo isn’t going to be Dina’s grandson.

While Kyle will be happy with the news, it’ll just leave more questions open about Dina’s past.

      I can’t help but wonder: Is Theo really Dina’s grandchild or is he someone who just weaseled his way into the Abbott’s family?

      Another case of lazy “we can’t make up our mind” writing that has plagued “Y&R” for years, especially with the “who were Jill’s parents?” storyline. Modern soap writers have come in and destroyed much of the legacy of the core families because of their indecision which is why much of the audience has left.

      We witnessed a drink and straw being picked up by Theo at CL as Kyle walked away. We wondered if it would mean something later. This writer should know that Lola and Theo are no longer a couple.
      I wonder if this could mean that Kyle is not an Abbott? Not Theo? Ha ha

      The better story would be for Theo to be a Abbott, make Dina's boutique in Paris a great success with taking it online and virtual. Bring him back now and then. Kyle being the only young cock in the GC henhouse is already really boring.
