The Young and The Restless spoilers show that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is hot on the case of figuring out what really happened the night that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) died, he just hasn’t quite put together all the pieces yet. However, we expect this to seriously shake up the Newman family, especially Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway)!
While Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) unintentionally killed Ashland by punching him and hitting his head into the hearth, when he and Victora Newman (Amelia Heinle) returned, he was gone. This has already begun to haunt Nick and make him feel guilty because he knows deep down that Ashland didn’t have a pulse and he was dead.

The body had to have been moved, and while Nick is replaying the moment over and over in his head, Chance is beginning to piece it together thanks to one simple ring that Nick found on the ground. The ring is Ashland’s, and since he didn’t throw it or drop it, we suspect that it fell off of his hand as the body was being moved.
This isn’t just our suspicion though, Chance knows that the body was moved, it’s just up to him to prove it and find out who did it. Of course, his first suspects came easily… Nick and Victoria.
Y&R Spoilers – Will This Affect Abby And Chance’s Marriage?
If Chance continues to pursue this and begin breaking down the Newman’s trying to figure out what happened, this will undoubtedly cause issues at home as Abby will most likely defend her siblings and attempt to reassure Chance that Ashland indeed got up and drove away on his accord. Why would her family be involved with that? She would never want to think of them as cold-blooded murderers.
We know how Chance is with his work though, and he’ll place this case above his family at all costs, potentially ruining his marriage to his wife as he seeks the truth. In all honesty, I hope he does. Just because his wife’s family is involved doesn’t mean he should just sweep this under the rug. Plus, it’s already weird that he’s allowed to be the lead detective on the case, to begin with after being so close with the suspects.
Should Chance go ahead and arrest Nick on suspicion of dumping Ashland’s body, things are going to get dicey and you can bet that Chance will be left on an island as he goes up against the infamous Newmans.

If Nick was going to be involved in removing the body and plotting a car accident he wouldn’t have called the police to begin with. Let’s see if Victor ultimately steps up or if he lets Nick take the fall.
Such drama for no reason. They should have kept Ashland around
Arrest Victor. He is. Horrible human and he had taught Victoria that they are the only 2 that matters in the world. There is no family unless those 2 day do. Let’s just be over this .
I don’t think this story should be going in this direction,to much like when all the ladies tried hiding JT’S body and all along he was alive. Just let Ashland be gone and move on with Mariah and Tessa and Tessa’s outcome the Noah and Ally then Dump Diane get ready to dump her out and off the show PLEASE!! THANK YOU
I’m sorry Ashland is gone. I don’t want to see Diane leave. If everything is all lovey dovey… the show would be very boring!
It’s about time the newmans get what’s coming to them they can get away with everything. They have done everything under the sun and no consequence.
I can’t stand Diane- Jack better not fall for her again. As crazy as Phyllis is, she’s the one that should be with Jack . I hope Phyllis never leaves the show- she’s too important for the drama.
