The Lockeness Monster was right. Adam did not go to Victor and help protect the family. Instead, Grossman’s character went to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and told her that Ashland was right about Victoria having wronged them.

Ashland must have some money left in one or more accounts. He has a nice place to stay and is paying at least one of his people as this assault against the Newmans begins.
But as he told Adam, Ashland has no foolish hopes of winning Victoria back. She conned him twice, with the second slam being more brutal than the first. The second attack was also intended to produce finality.

Newman’s character likely thought that Victoria or Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) might not believe Adam if he relayed the implied proposal. So, joining forces with Adam against their agreed-upon enemies was worth the pitch.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Diane Jenkins Aligned With Kyle Abbott
Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is doing her best to impress Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). All worked as planned, with Diane’s gains arriving ahead of schedule and in volumes even she did not anticipate.
However, devoted fans recall Diane bonded with Ashland before he was rousted by Victoria. She felt the man Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) recognized as his father for the first three-plus years of his life was important.
Ashland and Diane’s link to Harrison and the similar perceptions people have of them in Genoa City, Wisconsin, created the potential for an eventual romantic pairing. Her recent refusal to go along with the plan Victor had Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) present to her was telling.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jack Abbott Remains The Target
Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) decision to split from Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) gave Diane an anticipated opening. She assumed Phyllis would behave recklessly and alienate Jack.
So, Jack is Diane’s long-term romantic target. If he does not come around soon or similarly spurns her as he did Phyllis, then Diane will look for romance elsewhere.
Ashland and Diane are an easy pairing to project. The reality of them combining would spark major drama, with soap fans wondering when, not if, that happens on Y&R.
