Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) believes Chance concluded he could not win in court. But the Moustache also told his son-in-law that he appreciated him considering the tied family factors.
One of the members of the Newman family is Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), though he sees himself as the eternal outsider. That perception is again fueling his thirst for revenge.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nick Newman Is Cleared
Chance felt that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) was put in a situation where he had to defend his sister. So, punching Ashland in the face was a justified response to the behavior Nick encountered after entering Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) home.
Nick shrugged off Victoria’s suggestion that they do not call the authorities after Ashland fell, hit his head on the fireplace, and died upon impact. She compromised, calling Chance.
While cleared by Chance as acting in justifiable self-defense, Nick still is bothered by being directly responsible for Ashland’s death.
Y&R Spoilers – Victoria Newman Let Off The Hook As Well
Chance does not know that Victoria did not want to call the Genoa City Police Department as Nick initially suggested. She wanted to discount her oldest brother’s feelings about the past when the Newman family often skirted the law.
So, after arguing against calling the police, Victoria then mentioned calling Chance because he was a member of the clan. Nick felt that was a good compromise.
Victoria was not responsible for Ashland’s fall or his death. She, like Nick, was also not involved in moving Ashland’s body from the home to his car. Victor’s security team handled that per his instructions to cover up the matter.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Exploits Situation
Adam appears on the verge of exploring a new career path. Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) offer to become Jabot’s co-Chief Executive Officer, taking Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) open slot, is highly appealing.
But even if Adam accepts that job, as is anticipated, he plans on working his other gig. Adam wants to bring Victor down, and he senses the Ashland issue is ripe for exploration, case closed or not.
If joining Jabot can further Adam’s hopes, then so be it. But working with Jack or not, Adam’s agenda continues on Y&R.
