The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) makes a discovery about Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi). When he tells Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), she is irritated and storms off. Complaining to Ashland about Billy, the cancer-stricken businessman admits that he is keeping a secret and Victoria needs to know before they marry.

Y&R spoilers reveal that Victoria’s loved ones are concerned about how fast she is moving with Ashland. Understandably, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) are doing their own investigation on Ashland. Then, there is Billy, who has his own agenda for wanting to find some dirt on the “Locke-ness Monster.”

This time, Billy is the one who uncovers something suspicious in Ashland’s past. There is no record of Ashland ever being born. Even odder is that Ashland’s parents also have no records of their births or deaths.

Billy rushes to tell Victoria about what he has uncovered about Ashland. Victoria doesn’t see why this is such a big deal. She reasons that when Ashland and his parents were young, computers were not invented yet. So, records were destroyed in fires, earthquakes, floods, etc. Victor wonders if maybe Ashland changed his name before making a name for himself. Plenty of people do that too.

Victoria blows off Billy’s big discovery and goes home. Once there, she complains to Ashland about what Billy has been doing with his time. When Victoria mentions no birth records or death certificates for Ashland or his parents, that’s when the jig is up. Ashland stops his fiancee from talking long enough for him to say, “I have a secret, darling.”

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that the bride-to-be reminds Ashland that they promised no secrets. The cancer-stricken businessman explains that he hoped that he wouldn’t have to tell her. Now that Billy’s digging, though, Ashland wants to be upfront about this secret and it must be done before the wedding.

Not only does Ashland open up about his secret to Victoria, but he also shares it with Victor. It is suggested that Victor will need some time to think about Ashland’s confession. It is teased that Victor supports his daughter after this happens, so Ashland must get the Newman patriarch’s acceptance.

Y&R Spoilers – Veiled Worries

What possible reason would Ashland and his parents have no records of their existence? Old-fashioned identity theft is one reason and probably the most likely answer. Other possibilities include Ashland’s parents were fugitives or kidnapped him as a child. What is revealed is that the secret will leave Victoria shell-shocked. Even though she doesn’t admit it out loud, it will make Victoria wonder if she knows this man at all.
