Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is convinced that Ashland remains true to his nickname, The Lockeness Monster. The head of Newman-Locke and Victoria’s father has decided that Ashland used a claim of terminal cancer to manipulate his daughter’s feelings to make the merger and marriage happen.
Ashland has not admitted to anything, which leaves the door open to him possibly being ill with cancer at some point since he first claimed to be so. However, that seems increasingly unlikely.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Do Peruvian Doctors Know The Whole Story?
Viewers know that the now missing Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) met with some doctors who worked for the Peruvian clinic that Ashland is connected to. Their video testimony confirms that Ashland paid money in exchange for his medical records being falsified.
Following what would be a legal path means that it could be possible that these doctors are telling the truth, while Ashland is not a total liar. It could be true that his records were purposely changed in Peru, but the initial, New York diagnosis was also accurate, and he did have cancer.
Timing would be key in this assumed instance, which is still a big stretch. That could be what Ashland may try to push on Victoria if his records were altered in Peru to cover the date he first learned he was cancer-free.
Y&R Spoilers – Meeting With New York Doctor
Victoria told Ashland and the audience something she stated in the recent past. Heinle’s character was in New York with Ashland when they took what proved to be an unseen out-of-town trip.
Y&R fans previously learned and have now reinforced Victoria’s belief that her conversation with Ashland’s doctor and review of his medical records left no doubt that he had cancer and was expected to die. Currently, developments make it appear as though Ashland must have paid off whoever that doctor was in New York or that person was impersonating a doctor with provided, bogus medical reports.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Offers Interesting Projection
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) told his father that he and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) are speculating that Victoria might defend Ashland, no matter what is revealed. Victor disagrees, with his instinct probably being right in this instance.
However, Adam and Nick’s projection is plausible. Victoria is sure to be shocked if Ashland is proven to have never been ill. But her love for him is real. If she believes that he does love her or some dramatic, soapy scenario allows that to be proven, these love birds might stay together despite Victor’s passionate objections.
