He contacted a minion, Stanis (no actor’s name known for this character), who bungled the Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) situation in South America. As devoted viewers recall, Ashland had Michael contained at that point in the plot because he found witnesses at the clinic who confirmed Newman’s character never had cancer.
Ashland wants Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) movements tracked. So, he has his henchman sleuthing around Genoa City, Wisconsin, hoping to find useful information. What Ashland intends to do with whatever is determined sets the ongoing story line on Y&R.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – To The Victoria Newman Goes The Spoils
The phrase, to the victor goes the spoils, has often applied to Eric Braeden’s (Victor Newman) character. With the cheeky play off that created first name representing the wink.
But Victoria was determined to become the victor herself. She felt compelled to right the wrong, meaning Ashland.
Convincing Ashland to take a half-billion dollars from Victor to leave Newman Enterprises and agree to an annulment was brilliant bait. He never saw Victoria’s later moves coming, which proved to be a delicious outcome.
Y&R Spoilers – Reversing Fortunes In Genoa City
Victoria allowed herself to be used by Ashland. The merger and marriage happened in that order.
She believes Ashland did love her, regretted hurting her, and was responsible for saving her life. But Victoria applies a condition to the above, as Ashland’s every intent is atypical, when compared to other human beings.
Standing up to Ashland in the New York hotel suite was brave. Bobby De Franco left his best friend for dead, took his identity (Ashland Locke), and later stole his mentor’s inheritance to create the Lock Communications Group. She went up against that type of monster, and defeated him on her own, which was impressive.
Ashland is not dead, however. So, Victoria and the Newman family are preparing for whatever fight he brings to their turf. But will he fight in GC?
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Ashland Locke Must Gain An Advantage
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is the obvious choice to turn on Victoria and Victor. But Grossman’s character has to know that allowing himself to be used would result in family alienation and Ashland discarding him after that type of game is attempted or potentially won.
But Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) represents a different angle. She likes Ashland and appreciates his fellow outcast club member status. Together, they dislike the Newmans. With whatever foolish choice Adam may make, Diane seems to be the better asset for Ashland to employ.
