The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Big Clue Just Dropped About Martin—Time For A Jail Break?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that on the May 28 episode, fans got chills when Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) talked about imposter Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins). He’s offscreen, but clearly not gone from her memories. Where exactly is the soap going with this?

Did Y&R just set up a freaky comeback story for imprisoned Martin, the bad twin? Definitely maybe, let’s see what the show may have cooked up for the midlife former lovebirds!

Is Traci Still Hooked on Martin?

Traci was taking in the Abbot Mansion renovations with Diane Abbott (Susan Walters) when she got misty thinking of Martin.

He’s in prison after pulling a scam pretending to be his brother, the good twin, Alan. He tricked Traci and everyone close to her, but the truth is he’s a ruthless psycho.

What happened is, after Traci fell for Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) she found out Martin was impersonating him. As we saw yesterday, she is still processing what happened to her heart.

Traci Needs Guidance

As Traci verbalized her feelings, it almost sounded as if she missed Martin and wanted to get back together with him. She wondered out loud if the romance was genuine and it sure sounded like she wanted it to be.

In the meantime, Traci does what writers do, she’s writing a story about her experience. Prisoners are allowed books so what happens if Martin gets a copy of the book behind bars? If this happens, his obsession with Traci could rear its ugly head.

Was Alan Fooling Himself?

On soaps one can go to prison or die and still come back to the canvas as a viable character.

Maybe Dr. Martin performs a heroic life saving measure on the warden that gets him sprung. Or he could break out, or simply be released using the insanity defense. Where would he go?

If this happened he may hotfoot it right back to Genoa City and Traci. It’s curious that the show chose to keep the character alive, and even more curious that Traci is talking about him. Soaps rarely waste dialogue so we predict that Martin may pop up again in the near future!

And, with Traci writing a book about her ordeal, she may interview him which could lead to some spicy events. If Traci rejected him, would he revolt and take her so that no one can have her? Tell us what you think in the comment section below!
