Sharon was naturally crushed when Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) tragically died more than a decade and a half ago in real-time. That monumental event led to the end of Sharon’s storybook marriage to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Billy was eviscerated when Adam Newman (then played by Michael Muhney) was believed to have accidentally killed Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) more than a decade ago in real-time.
Soap-time is different than the clock that ticks on the other side of the screen. Through the course of whatever number of years, Sharon reestablished her reputation in Genoa City, Wisconsin. Billy needs to do the same.

Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) decided to work together at the new company the merger of Chancellor Industries and the Hamilton-Winters Group created.
While they have different work styles and personality types, for the most part, Lily and Devon are able to reach accords. They put personal matters aside, with each other, for the good of the company.
Billy held a grudge against Adam (now played by Mark Grossman) for many years. His approach to Adam has developed. But he had never been able to fully forgive the character Grossman now character plays. That is what makes what happened with Chelsea encouraging.

Billy was badly burned by Chelsea when they first met each other. Devoted viewers recall Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) recruited Chelsea to trap Billy.
The birth of Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) was intended to split Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) from Billy forever. The Moustache failed on that attempt but succeeded in reducing Victoria’s trust in Billy during that time in the plot.
Chelsea’s life was preserved by Billy. He should use the bravery he exhibited to realize that helping others through his own experiences can become the vocation he has long searched for. The podcast may have been a precursor to what will be realized on Y&R.
