The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will continue to clash over his friendship with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). They are having trouble communicating, and it’s leading up to a breakup that neither wants.

Jason Thompson, the actor who plays Billy, shared that part of their communication problem is that no one, except Chelsea, understands what Billy went through on the ledge when she almost jumped off and ended her life. Billy has tried to talk about it with Lily, but she wasn’t there, so she doesn’t understand how deeply it affected Billy.

Lily feels hurt by the situation as she grapples with the feeling that she was left in the dark while Billy helped Chelsea with her severe mental issues.

When Lily chatted with Chelsea and asked her not to lean on Billy so much, it caused more harm to her bond with Billy. Lily meant that he has his own life, and she should lean on other people too. However, Billy took it as a warning to Chelsea to stay away from him. Lily claims that she didn’t mean it that way, and she was trying to support Chelsea and offer her an alternative for the times Billy wasn’t available.

“Billy gets exasperated and points out that after one talk with Lily, Chelsea is pushing him away, and he doesn’t know what to think. He knows Lily isn’t lying, so he asks if she feels threatened by his closeness to Chelsea, which seems to be leading them to a place where they’re not sure how to move forward as a couple,” Thompson shared.

Then add Lily’s newfound closeness with Daniel Romalotti, Jr (Michael Graziadei), it seems like only a matter of time before Lily and Billy call it quits.
