Really, how content can a mogul like Billy be, riffing on a late night podcast? He is a mover and a shaker and a shark, and he needs to swim with the big boys. He recently had a bad reaction to some news about a potential new hire at Jabot and this could mean he is considering leaving Chancellor-Winters.
The Young And The Restless spoilers – Billy Abbott Is Not Content?
Billy has a nice job at Chancellor-Winters but he’s made noises about being an outsider since it’s Lily’s family company, whereas Jabot is his family company.
This week Billy’s brother Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) told Billy that he wants to hire Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) at Jabot. Billy’s facial reaction looked like Jack stuck a sour lemon in his mouth.
Will Billy might try to get a seat at the Jabot table in in Adam’s place or maybe just hang out and keep an eye on Adam? It was very clear that Billy does not want Adam to work at Jabot. Sure, Billy loves his podcasts, but he has never seemed entirely comfortable working as Lily’s COO.

In turn, Lily hasn’t always seemed happy with Billy’s work ethic so there is some friction on that front. All of these red flags could mean that Billy pushes the eject button on his big boy seat at C-W and goes back to Jabot.

But how would Billy spin this idea to Lily? Perhaps he would play on her sense of family, telling her that the Abbott clan needs him. Then again, he may just suggest that just as she is a part of her family’s company, so he wants to be a part of his.
Lily is a smart cookie however and she may realize that Billy is having a knee jerk reaction to Jack’s job offer for Adam. That would not be good. It would mean in effect that he is rejecting her job for a revenge motive. It’s not as bad as rejecting her for another woman, but you get the picture.

If Billy rejects his C-W COO job for one at Jabot, what happens to LilBilly? The writing seems to be on the wall, that the show’s gearing up for an Abbott and Newman war. Will Lily and Billy’s relationship be the first casualty?

I think Billy needs to be loyal a job he decides on! I don’t think he’s been happy at CW right from the beginning! I’m thinking he’s a wanderer and I sure of what roots he wants to stabilize! If he goes back to Jabot it will be out of insecurity.
