The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) pledged his loyalty to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), swearing to be there for her as she recovers from clinical depression and suicidal thoughts. Billy has been looking for a purpose in life, and he sees Chelsea as his new “feel good” project.

On the other hand, Adam is unhappy that Billy spends so much time with Chelsea. He tried to assert his authority by demanding how long Billy plans to be a part of Chelsea’s life. He went as far as to say that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) cannot be thrilled by his sudden interest in saving Chelsea’s life.

Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Billy agree that Chelsea should not feel alone during this difficult recovery. They offer her support and promise they will be there for her if she needs them.

They supported Chelsea when she disclosed that she planned to tell her son about her attempted suicide. Her therapist felt it was important for Chelsea to explain to him so that he wouldn’t feel like any of it was his fault.

Adam disagreed. He urged his ex-wife to reconsider telling Connor. He hoped they could wait to break the news to him, fearing the scoop would be difficult for his son to process.

Billy and Adam have been at odds with each other for years. They will never be friends, let alone get along. But Billy wants to try to be nice to Adam for Chelsea’s sake. Billy realizes that Adam is important to Chelsea.

Adam doesn’t seem to care that Billy is important to his ex-wife. He could feel jealous that Chelsea chose Billy as her safe person, not him.
Chelsea doesn’t want Lily, Billy’s girlfriend, to feel jealous of her. She urged Billy to reveal how bad it was for her on the rooftop and explain he saved her life. Billy hadn’t shared it with Lily out of respect for Chelsea’s feelings.

Adam feels like an odd man out with Chelsea. Adding to that, Adam struggles to reconnect with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) as she grows closer to his brother, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

Adam’s life is all topsy-turvy, and he isn’t sure how to feel about Chelsea’s situation and her support system. At some point, Adam and Billy will probably come to blows. It’s anyone’s guess how that will turn out.
