Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) unexpected peace offering is all that Billy has wanted for many months. He believes that Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) wronged him by selling the company to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), and Cane agrees.
However, Sally thinks that Billy will be making a terrible mistake if he agrees to accept Chancellor, which Cane stole from Victor using the artificial intelligence weapon. While the apparent new controller of Newman Enterprises seems sincere with his no-strings gift offer to Billy, a completed transfer of that division would serve Cane’s payback purposes.
What is Cane Ashby’s Final Solution?
Cane doesn’t appear to have a well-thought-out strategy. He’s not an experienced businessman and has been working on the fly since the summer gathering at his chateau resulted in three deaths and, just recently, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) hacked his AI program.
Cane wants to complete as much of his father’s plan as possible. So, he’s been reworking his original efforts.
Assuming the spirit of Aristotle Dumas, as cheered on by Phyllis, is risky. But Cane feels he has nothing to lose because of Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) decision to leave town and their children’s choice to cut him off.

Sally Spectra’s History With Adam Newman
Sally had a New Year’s Eve meeting with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) at Society. Neither ex planned that, but it was revealing.
They spoke about celebrating all of the holidays in one fell swoop, with a flashback reminding the audience and informing newer fans that they were a one-time couple. That was a purposeful plot technique that implied Sally’s relationship and possibly Adam’s were going to be tested.
Hope’s character forgave Adam after their initial breakup and loss of a child (Ava Newman) through miscarriage. However, the forgiveness that happened about a year later didn’t create a permanent bond, with Sally’s relationship stance potentially being in the process of being replayed.
Jack Abbott Needs His Little Brother To Be Cautious

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has been very generous with Billy and patient with him. As longtime fans and everyone in Genoa City, Wisconsin, know, Billy has a gratitude problem because he takes far too many risks.
This personality issue is steeped in his gambling addiction. His addictive personality causes him to believe a big score can be had in the right circumstances.
Jabot seems to be momentarily safe because Cane is attacking Victor. But that could change in an instant, which is why Jack needs Billy to play all things safe. Yet, if he accepts Chancellor, Victor will be provoked to go after the Abbotts again, and Jack wisely wants to avoid that.
