Y&R Spoilers – Adam Newman Performs Dirty Work

Adam resisted his father’s calls in the recent past. As part of Adam’s redemptive efforts, he did not want to target Billy.

Victor did not like Adam’s stance. But he delayed his intention of wiping Billy out.

The Newman’s entrance into the media world is a partial vanity project. Victor has more money and power than he ever needs. Adam is back in the fold and has nothing to prove to anyone, except his father.

Adam recognizes that Victor’s approval is vital to maintaining family peace. In that vein, Grossman’s character went so far as to help his rival sister. Viewers saw that Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) opened, if just a bit, to her little brother.

While she does not trust Adam, Victoria has noted that Ashland likes him. That is a new wrinkle in this sibling rivalry arc.

Jill Abbott Atkinson (Jess Walton) is wise like Jack. She has experience and is savvy enough to advise her son against provoking Victor. But Billy believes that he can vanquish Goliath.

David killed Goliath because that legendary giant underestimated his foe. As readers of that Bible story know, David’s father’s name was Jesse.

Like Jones’ character, Billy sees himself as a David-type character. But both men’s visions of grandeur proceed them on Y&R, which Victor, Adam, and Ashland know.
