Before walking out, Gaines put a reassuring hand on Billy’s shoulder. That kind of unspoken language suggests that Gaines actually does feel guilty. However, it seems that his hands might be tied.

      Billy and Lily has her on their side and there's nothing these trouble makers can do
      about it. They still have the ChancComm not going nowhere.

      I feel like I should feel sorry for Billy but I can't. This mess has stemmed from his stupidity and self-righteousness. He has done far worse over the years than to be judging a young Aslands mistake. To obsess about it to the point of flying an uninvited troublemaker to his ex wife's wedding to disrupt her wedding and spoil her short future with her dying lover with his children also there is despicable. Now we have episodes of why are you hurting our company Chancecom…erh because you're using it for personal vendettas, using private and personal family events without consideration for family or friends. Billy would be a better, more enjoyable character he focused on his own flaws and lovelife. When is usually smart Lilly going to wake up, Billy is the ruin of Chancecom bringing unnecessary blowback to the door and ignoring her input doing just as he wants, using her as nothing but a bedwarmer.
