The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Billy’s Raging Again – Victoria Worried About His Symptoms!

The Young and the Restless star Billy Abbott

The Young and The Restless spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) may be playing with fire this week on The Young and The Restless!

Victoria Newman Is Concerned That Billy Abbott Will Have A Hard Time Controlling His DID

The Young and The Restless viewers will recall that when Billy Abbott developed DID, or Dissociative Identity Disorder a few months ago, it was triggered by the return of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to Genoa City after having disappeared and presumed dead. Adam had accidentally ran over and killed Billy and Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) young daughter, Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) but Billy didn’t believe it was accidental and sought vengeance against Adam for her death.

Billy was never able to come to terms with her death, and when Adam returned, Billy developed an alter, or an alternate personality, popularly referred to by fans as “Bad Billy”. Now that Adam has once again returned to Genoa City, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is worried that “Bad Billy” could once again re-emerge, even though Billy has been in therapy for the disorder.

Billy Abbott Feels That His Rage And His DID Is Completely Under Control

Billy feels that his rage against Adam and his dissociative identity disorder is completely under control, and even had a talk with Adam in recent Y & R episodes, to make peace between himself and Adam. Victoria’s concern is that like an alcoholic who thinks his or her drinking is under control, that Billy may be too sure of himself and not watch himself for the signs and symptoms of a possible relapse and to seek help.

In Alcoholics Anonymous, one learns never to think that they are no longer an alcoholic just because he or she has stopped drinking; instead, the AA member is to consider him or herself a recovering alcoholic; meaning, that even though they are okay now, just one small swig of an alcoholic drink could put them over the edge into full blown alcoholism. Most addiction programs are based on the same principle, and it could be loosely applied to someone with a mental illness or emotional disorder, that one may never be free from the tendencies or the triggers.

Billy Abbott Could Think That He Has Conquered “Bad Billy” For Good And Ignore His Symptoms

Billy could easily think that he has everything completely under control and that he has conquered “Bad Billy” for good and ignore symptoms such as vivid nightmares or finding things such as notes from Delia, that were written by Billy himself in his other personality. This would be a situation where he would need to seek immediate help, even to the point of committing himself to a mental health facility. As serious as Billy’s condition was, he is definitely playing with fire if he thinks he can control it himself!
