The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Blood Tie Between Victor and Jack Potentially Amazing

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that there is amazing potential in the quickly developing storyline that projects Y&R’s top enemies to suddenly have been brothers all along. Victor Newman, whose real name is Christian Miller, is related to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Wow is one of many exclamatory words that can be offered in response to what would be an incredible, shocking, Genoa City mind-bending twist!

Matt Miller’s (played be recast Richard Gleason) rewrite into the story comes more than thirty years since Robert Parucha played an actual character on the show for a few years. Victor’s only known brother reprised that persona in 2003, when George Kennedy was cast as Albert Miller, who now could also be Jack’s dad. Albert died at that time.

As has been seen on this comprehensive soap site, speculation about this paternity possibility, or eventuality, was considered after Dina (Marla Adams) appeared to have recalled a fact from her colorful life many moths ago. Considering known facts about her past dalliances, it is logical to believe that a man other than John (Jerry Douglas) could have sired Jackie-boy.

Abby (Melissa Ordway) didn’t want to repeat history. So, instead of withholding what was learned this time she went to her either-way uncle Jack to tell him that Matt was in touch. She then verbalized the eye-popping paternal connection that ashened Jack’s face.

Of course its outrageous to even suggest that these two particular enemies could be related. But would Y&R setup its audience for a second Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) and Jill (Jess Walton) are mother and daughter, followed by and oh no they’re (Jack and Victor, this time) not, type scenario? Hardcore viewers lived through that compelling arc and its outcome, which keep show history in order.

But 2018 is a different time in Y&R’s life. An altered take is being presented to what is seen as an evolving audience. Many cast changes have taken place and are scheduled to continue. Some well-known faces, beyond the one’s referenced, have morphed into almost unrecognizable people.

So, Victor and Jack absolutely can’t be brothers. Really?

Considering the existing length of Jack’s odyssey, why not at least allow him and Victor to believe Albert is their father and then play that out for months. However, if both of their back stories are permanently altered and Jack becomes a Miller from here on out, then there is potential for both actors to deliver their boldest work in years.

Bergman and Braeden have always had chemistry between them, including real-life backstage wrangles. Jack and Victor’s joint hospital stay provided plenty of light-hearted humor a few years ago. Both actors are also capable of delivering dynamic drama that would likely be buzzworthy.
