Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is the love of Ashland’s life. But he lied to her about having terminal cancer to realize the Newman-Locke merger.
The betrayal and shame Victoria feels are mixed with doubt. Does she wonder if Ashland was changing as their story line unfolded?
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Ashland Locke Means It This Time
Ashland lied about cancer, which was infinitely wrong on so many levels. He is telling the truth about why he did it and about something significant.
Viewers know from watching Ashland during the well-produced three-car crash episodes that he does love Victoria. Heinle’s character senses that he is being honest when saying that he did not anticipate falling for her but did.
The dilemma Ashland faces is how he can reestablish trust with Victoria?
Time is something Ashland seems to be counting. He must believe that Victoria’s emotions will subside, and with that she will be open to a chance at reconciliation.
Y&R Spoilers – Victoria Newman Has Not Gotten Past Him
Victoria is fronting most people that she moved on. But Heinle’s character also shared conflicted feelings with her mother.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) advised that it is okay for Victoria to recognize Ashland’s bravery in saving her life while not forgiving him for the betrayal.
Nikki’s suggestion was delivered with her experience in mind. Victor has wronged Nikki on countless occasions. She forgave the Moustache because of their great love. So, why can’t Victoria do the same?
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman Wants Vengeance Not Forgiveness
Victor takes a harsh stance in life. He believes that once someone has wronged him, forgiveness will be conditioned or, in the case of someone like Ashland, trigger a vengeful response.
The problem is that Ashland has money, which limits Victor’s intimidation efforts. And Newman’s character rightly believes that he still has a part of Victoria’s heart.
It is plausible to believe that Victoria will be used as some form of a weapon against Ashland. Victor has often demonstrated that he is not opposed to employing family members, sometimes without their knowledge, against a threat to the family.

Time to stop going round in circles with this Ashland story. Its getting so old, bring it to conclusion and move on, otherwise like with some other stories it goes from once entertaining to tedious. Its already boring, how many episodes do we need with the Newman's discussing what to do about Ashland. The supposedly great Victor Newman shouldn't need months of blithering indecision, he should know what to do and get it done.
I agree with you, Simi. The old Victor Newman would have already taken care of Ashland Locke, not sitting around talking about getting rid of him. Victor was always an action man. What has happened to him? I don't like the way he is now. For instance, he would have never put with Sally. She is sticking her nose in everything and her new position, he would not have gone alone with it at all. Bring the real Victor Newman back.
Aways team Victor.
Victor. Newman
Get rid of Ashland PLEASE and bring back the previous Summer the new one SUCKS
