Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) daughter is deeply troubled by the events involving that older man during her business trip, to the point where she’s ready to completely disrupt her life.

She is determined to shield Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Aria Porter-Copeland (Maddie and Millie Ingle) from the fallout, her dishonesty and seeking a separation, she is harming them in another way.

While it may seem like she’s punishing herself, there’s also a protective instinct at play, as she seems to want to prevent Tessa from becoming involved in whatever secret she’s keeping.

Sadly, the fears that this situation could push Tessa into the arms of Daniel Romatlotti (Michael Graziadei) came true just last week. Although he was merely offering her comfort, we all know how these storylines unfold in soap operas.

The Reveal Of Dumas Being Cane

As the story progressed, Cane’s identity as Dumas became one of the worst-kept secrets in soap operas, making his revelation to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) rather insignificant.

It was almost comical when Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) led Lily to him in the maze, and Lily failed to recognize either her ex-husband’s voice or the back of his head.

Furthermore, Amanda cautioned Cane in the preview that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is a powerful adversary; well, Cane is already aware of that… he spent over ten years in Genoa City.

However, according to a new spoiler video for Young & Restless, Cane has done something that Victor will definitely not like, “Not one little bit,” as Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) puts it. Could this be related to Chancellor Incorporated?

A Major Couple Faces Breakup

As we cling hope our soap will become even soapier, we find ourselves presented with not one, but two chances for some cheating in this Dumas/Cane narrative.

The first opportunity involves Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin), who are spending time together in Genoa City while her boyfriend is engaged in a perfume rivalry overseas.

The second opportunity-as hinted in this teaser video, the boundaries may start to blur for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) amidst their seemingly fake flirtation.

Michael Mealor humorously remarked, “What happens in Nice, stays in Nice.” But will it really; certainly not, which could lead to Claire and Holden sharing a bed after indulging in a few too many Vespers.
