Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) lost Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) to his cousin. But James’ character told Abby that he cheated on Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) twice. So, what does Abby see in him?

Fans were right if they did not suspend disbelief when Ordway’s character claimed to have never fallen for Ben. That did not make sense in that storyline, even considering that Abby and her mother, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), briefly competed for Ben during that time in the plot.

Abby arguably did love Ben. She was pregnant with his child before Ben’s son made sure she fell down the stairs at the Genoa City Athletic Club that Devon came to own.

Y&R Spoilers – Devon Hamilton Loved Amanda Sinclair?

Devon was with Elena when Amanda suddenly appeared at his penthouse door. He was floored to see the identical, gorgeous image of his late wife standing before him.

A great comeback storyline had Morgan play Hilary Hamilton’s (Morgan) ghost in the lead-up to Amanda’s debut. That served as a head-fake to why the actor was really returning to the cast.

Morgan’s 2019 comeback followed a year’s respite. This year’s Daytime Emmy Award-winner in the Lead Actress category left the cast again to be with her young family again, but still appears in Y&R’s online cast list because of the recurring contract she still has.

Devon’s apparent love for Amanda was not as deep as he thought, with the surprising connection to Abby seems to prove.

It would not be surprising to see Floyd’s character written out of the show. He is Genoa City, Wisconsin’s lead detective. So, he has an established career that could be used in various storylines.

But if Chance and Abby are over, TPTB can write him toward another lady. If not, his screen-time could be limited to awkward encounters that involve seeing Dominic Newman Abbott Winters Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware), whose biological parents are Devon and Abby. In the meantime, Victor is likely to confirm the mistake his youngest daughter made on Y&R.
