The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal an overbearing Abby taking charge of Mariah’s pregnancy. After all, it’s her baby Mariah is carrying but how much does her husband really know about what Abby’s been doing while he’s away?
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Abby Newman’s Baby Dreams Go Wrong
First, Abby (Melissa Ordway) learned she couldn’t carry a child. Then, Chance (Donny Boaz) learned that he couldn’t even create a baby with Abby’s egg in a petri dish. And before we knew it, Chance was gone. Sure, he left a note that he was going on a super-secret spy assignment, but told Abby to go ahead and create a baby anyway.
Perhaps Chance didn’t think Abby would actually do this without him, but there were signs. Chance and Abby were barely dating when Abby decided she wanted to have babies. Chance was game so he and Abby essentially wed just so they could become parents. There was barely any buildup in their romance.

Even if Abby thinks she’s informing Chance of everything she is doing, how does she know she’s really reaching her husband? Chances are…Chance has no idea what his wife’s been up to while he’s been gone.
But Chance is bound to return one day (perhaps with a brand-new face) and will figure it all out. When he does, he will be outraged. Abby didn’t consult him about any of this. She just went ahead and used Devon’s (Bryton James) sperm and Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) uterus so she could get what she wanted, assuming Chance would be fine with it all. But what if he’s not?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Will Abby Newman And Chance Chancellor Divorce?
What if he’s absolutely furious and doesn’t even want to be with Abby anymore after she seemed to care about having a baby — any baby — than his own safety while he’s away fighting crime. This can open a whole can of worms and perhaps make Mariah want to keep the baby for herself.

Why are the writers writing some of characters like they are children? I like Abby and Chance and I had high hopes for their difficulty having a family story. However it's been so disappointing and childish I have to fast forward through most of it because it's so silly and annoying. Chance returning to say this is nonsense might straighten it out but now leaves a biracial child in this messy situation which it not a positive story especially for biracial families. A better story would have been a real romance relationship with a biracial child and a seperate story with Abby and Chance investigating adoption. I don't want to see a Devon, Abby baby in family limbo with Mariah the baby oven in the middle. And if writers want to do child stories use Faith and Moses and write Abby and Kyle like the adults they should be.
Maybe Elizabeth Rose should go back and watch Y&R when Abby and Chance were getting together. It was Chance that first brought up having kids. Abby wasn't sure since she had had a miscarriage, but eventually came around to agree with Chance.
I hope they don't write Dannie out I love him and Abby together. I think Chance will listen to Abby and understand why she did what she did , he loves her so much and he's wanted a child as much or more than her ..he wanted to make a family and I think he's smart enough to know it doesn't matter how families are made the important thing is loving them
Abby could have waited at least 6 months after Chance left on an assignment to go thru with her plans of having a baby. The whole story line, to me, was just too much. She was coming across as a desperate person. Hope she and Chance can work this out.
I think that chance should be written out have him killed in the line of duty he has been gone to long to make this relationship with abby work out i think abby should fall in love with devon and they should raise their baby together as far as mariah goes how can you make her fight for a baby that is not even hers the egg was abbys the egg was abbys the egg was abbys do you get it yet the egg was abbys say that again the egg was abbys meaning the baby is abbys when DNA is done it will be abbys DNA what does mariah have to fight for abby has more money than god and would bury mariah she meeds to move on she can never claim that baby it has to many rich names attached to it she needs to get pregnant and have her own baby and again sharon and reys relationship is like watching paint dry put sharon with jack give phyllis something to really fight about sharon does not belong with adam sally belongs with adam or nick please
I’m like you, I really liked Danny Boaz & Abby TOGETHER; they were an awesome couple together. Instead of replacing Danny; bring him back. The dynamics between he & Abby made a loving couple plausible. Should’ve left them together. WHY did the writers change the storyline? Bad enough they messed up Summer/Kyle; BUT Chance/ Abby . @ least Danny/Abby made a great storyline that actually was imaginable. BRING BACK BOAZ!!!
amen to that …they also need to stop this ridiculous storyline about Mariah wanting the baby …it's not hers legally or even maternally …that baby is from abby's egg and Devon's sperm and they both signed agreements.
I agree Donny and his portrayal of Chance made Abbys character better. He managed to to make her less childish. Since he's been gone Abbys character has become really silly and the story became so ridiculous. I wish he would return and get the story back on track.
I agree, I too would like to see Abby stop sniveling, her character is getting more and more childish and pathetic. I respect that Devonand Mariah have done something wonderful for their friend but after all that sniveling for Abby to then dump the baby with a nanny is so ungrateful, its like she just got a purse or shoes she's been desperate for and now she's got it shoves it in her jewelry box like just another whim or fad she can cross of her I want list. I am sick of watching her spoiled sniveling, she's tedious. And your right again Devon should focus on his girlfriend and not be sucked in to filling in for Abbys absent husband and Mariah in should be sensible enough to realize she needs to get some help. Good call.
If storyline goes that way I’m done. Don’t have time for such . Abby needs to grow stop whining .
Devon needs tell her care for baby stop calling him. Amanda should ask him to step back as that’s not his role?? Mirahs role to carry p is completed and she needs to respect that & go on . Get help . Its heavy .
