The Young and the Restless spoilers show that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will have to make a tough decision between his career or his family, and if my gut is right, I have a feeling that there might be a few broken hearts coming up in our future.

With the ongoing investigation into Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) murder and everyone from Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to Chance assuming that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) had something to do with it, there will be a lot of red tape to traverse through.

With Chance right on Victor’s tail and finding out the truth about him moving the body, it’s going to come down to a Newman family issue (surprise, surprise) and Chance will be stuck in the middle of it because of who he married and the family he married into.

While Chance will want to find out the truth and arrest Victor for his wrongdoing and breaking the law, Abby will probably feel some strong loyalty to her family and ask her husband to leave it alone. But that’s not who Chance is. He’s not about to let someone get away with something just because his wife is related to them. Do you know how crazy that sounds? Imagine if every officer or detective just backed off of a case because their wife was related to the person…

Y&R Spoilers – Abby Newman’s Family Loyalty?

While it sounds like we’re trying to make Chance out to be the bad guy here, I don’t think he is. In fact, I think he’s an honest dude who just wants to get to the bottom of a case, regardless of who is involved. But at the same time, what makes Abby so loyal? She’s rarely involved with the Newmans, doesn’t work at Newman Enterprises, and has her own thing going with Society.

Sure, I understand it’s her father, but is she really that loyal to him that she would risk being arrested or interfering with a police matter because Victor is her dad? It seems so strange to me and I don’t think Chance is going to go for it.
