Y&R Spoilers – Too Fast Too Soon?

Abby brought Chance home and they enjoyed being reunited. However, Chance was uncomfortable about being thrown into a homecoming party where everyone gushed about him being a hero. Chance wasn’t ready for that sort of thing and the survivor’s guilt he felt didn’t help matters. Then, there is being thrown into instant fatherhood.

Chance is dealing with a lot just from the bombing and losing everyone on his team. Being put in the middle of a crowd right away and then expected to instantly connect with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (River and Rainn Ware) might be too much too soon. Perhaps easing into normal life and being a new dad would have been better for Chance.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Chance makes a heartbreaking admission to Abby. Chance explains that there is a “void” where his fatherhood skills should be. Chance mentions how natural and easy it is for Devon to bond with Dominic. Chance wishes he had that but feels inadequate and incompetent.

Chance even suggests that he might be just like his father. Of course, this devastates Abby and she tries to reassure him. Abby believes that the connection will come and Chance just needs to give it time. However, Chance doesn’t seem convinced.

Y&R Spoilers – Professional Help?

Abby does mention that she is trying to be there for Chance. However, Abby also mentions that maybe Chance needs more help than what she can provide. This could be a clue that Chance will need to seek professional help.

Even though Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) thinks he is helping by jumping in to soothe Dominic, it’s actually making Chance’s feeling of inadequacy even worse. Will Chance get the help that he needs and feel a bond with Dominic? Or could “Chabby” go through more devastating obstacles during the next few weeks?
