The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Chelsea Lawson Puts Adam Newman On Notice – Shape Up or Ship Out!

CBS The Young and The Restless spoilers tease that in Genoa City, Wisconsin Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) has just about enough of Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) vindictive self-pity. She will put him on notice in an upcoming episode and might tell him to get right – or get left!

Y&R Updates – Chelsea Lawson Wants To Shake Adam Newman Up

Chelsea doesn’t really want to leave Adam – she knows he is going through a lot but she is more than fed up with his vindictive self-pity and especially his revenge plans and plots. Even though her closest friend, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), and others have told her time and time again to rid herself of Adam, she won’t do it.

But she wants to shake up Adam and get him to wake up to the self-destructive behavior he is exhibiting. He has told her he knows he is no good and feels like the exposé is right – he’s a monster. What eleven-year-old kid murders a man? Chelsea has not blamed him and neither has his father Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). He was a scared kid trying to protect his blind mother, and quite possibly himself.

But Adam is playing games – with himself and with her. She doesn’t even know that he’s tried to leave her for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and has a tail on Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) to try and stop their impending wedding! If she knew, she might reconsider just trying to scare Adam by threatening to leave and really do it! But for right now, this tactic is all she’s got that might work.

The Young and The Restless Spoilers – Reverse Psychology?

Perhaps Chelsea is taking a page from Sharon’s playbook (although Sharon wouldn’t ever resort to this psychological tool, feeling it’s manipulative) and using reverse psychology on Adam. She certainly doesn’t want to be taken for granted but she’s got to figure out a way to scare some sense into Adam! In a way, it is an ultimatum she is giving him – either he gets himself straightened out and flying right or she’ll leave.

Adam has been a gambler – and she’s taking a gamble trying to scare him straight. He may even realize that she is trying to call his bluff. Chelsea loves Adam and she never wants to lose him again, whether it be to a death that turned out to be false or losing him to his own self-destructiveness. She will never forget when he “died” the last time, putting to death any hope of the happily ever after that she wanted with him and their little boy Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

She even moved out of the area and married someone else – a much older man named Calvin Boudreau (John Burke) and lived in Louisiana with Connor and married to Calvin. However, again she was a young widow shortly after she returned to Genoa City, with Connor returning later, Chelsea not wanting to pull him out of summer camp where he was having fun.

Then Adam came back alive, just in time for Chelsea to have moved on with his brother Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). She was torn and went back and forth and Connor manipulated his parents back together. Yes, she’s taking a risk but she confronts Adam with his behavior and gives him an ultimatum; get right, or get left!
