There was nothing romantic about the ugly game Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) engineered when he hired Chelsea to target Billy in Burma. The result was Johnny Abbott’s (Paxton Mishkind) birth nine months later.

Chelsea’s detailed recant of what happened was painful for Egan and Thompson’s characters to hear. Kudos to both actors for their performances in a well-written scene that was structured, realistic, and affirming.

There is no current spark of romantic interest between Chelsea and Billy. But it is possible the basis for it is being established.

Y&R Spoilers – Lily Winters Does Not Overshare

Lily did not volunteer her thoughts about Billy to Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei). That alone indicates she is not at the point of wanting to break.

Daniel surprised Lily and likely many audience members when he defended Billy’s involvement with Chelsea. Daniel, like Billy, advanced since the mid-2000’s when those then-young men and Lily were maturing.

There is a whiff of romantic interest between Daniel and Lily. The audience does not have enough information to know if the physical distance between him and Heather Stevens (Jennifer Landon) represents relationship strife or whatever they have is irreparable. Lily is uncertain about her future with Billy but clearly still loves him.

Daniel has not been in Genoa City, Wisconsin, in many years. Graziadei was last seen on Y&R in 2016.

Lily was happy to see Daniel when he arrived at Society. She has seen him a handful of times since, with the audience learning that he is staying in town.

Readers of this comprehensive soap site know that Daniel’s adoptive father, Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian), will soon be returning for what might be a short stint. That event will help Daniel, as the only man he has ever considered to be his father will likely help him to gain perspective about his future and whoever it could include in GC.
