The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) wants to have a relationship with Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare). But Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) reminded her of the agreement she made after he was born.

Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has no incentive to grant Chelsea’s wish to see Johnny. She is his biological mother but knowingly and voluntarily relinquished her rights to him during a period when she was transitioning from being a con artist.

Heinle’s character is the only woman Johnny recognizes as his mother because that is who she is.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Billy Abbott Way Back When

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) orchestrated Chelsea targeting Billy (who was then played by Billy Miller) when he was in Burma. The plan was to entrap him to force a split with Victoria.

Chelsea became pregnant with Billy’s then second child. That was before he lost Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) when Adam Newman’s (as then played by Michael Muhney) supposed hit her with his car on the outskirts of town.

So, Egan’s character entered the Genoa City, Wisconsin scene under a negative cloud and, in her mind, has never been able to gain respect. She, like Billy, consider themselves to be screw-ups.

Y&R Spoilers – Bonding Through Podcast Drops

Chelsea offered Billy some unsolicited advice about his successful podcast. She basically told Johnny’s father to lighten up.

Billy was taken aback by Chelsea’s pointed criticism. But because he is far more stable than he had been years ago and, more specifically, since leaving Victoria, he quickly embraced Chelsea’s advice.

His ask of Chelsea, to join the podcast, signaled that this one-time engineered couple were going to tap into their shared past.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victoria Newman Has Partial Say

Victoria accepted Johnny and raised him as her son. She often carried the parental load through the years because Billy went on various gambling addiction benders along with other reckless pursuits.

While Chelsea does not question Victoria’s maternal bond with Johnny, she feels he is old enough to learn who his biological mother is.

It will be interesting to see if TPTB are about to slightly SORAS (soap opera rapid aging syndrome) Johnny and his sister, Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri), as the siblings have been off-screen for a while. It is plausible to speculate that Johnny’s age will be advanced to Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) or that both of Chelsea’s boys will be aged in a double recast as part of this developing story line.
