The Young and the Restless spoilers show that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) may make an unexpected proposal for Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). All signs lead to Billy and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) splitting up shortly, so Billy may be keen to leave.

Billy will most likely just book a hotel suite at The Grand Phoenix in the aftermath. Although Billy may explain that crashing there isn’t a big problem, Chelsea may disagree.

Chelsea will undoubtedly feel some sense of responsibility after Billy and Lily call it quits. Chelsea will also reflect on her own difficulties and worry about Billy being alone with his grief.

This might easily lead to Chelsea granting Billy a temporary place to stay. Chelsea may persuade Billy to move in, even if only for a night or two while he deals with the news of his separation. Chelsea may act as if Billy is doing her a favor because she is still working on her own rehabilitation. She may believe they can entertain and comfort each other.

Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) doesn’t stay at Chelsea’s place every night, so Billy may be able to organize his departure before he returns. Connor might even go on a long school trip in the new year, simply so Y&R can get him out of the way for a while. That might pave the way for Billy to move in with Chelsea and possibly hit the sheets with her.

Chelsea and Billy’s friendship may be updated and moved into a more romantic area. Of course, this living situation could become permanent in the future. If the show keeps Billy and Chelsea as a new couple, they might be able to start constructing a true future together.

Regardless, Chelsea will want to reward Billy for all of his compassion. Perhaps Chelsea will argue that the least she can do is allow Billy to stay with her while he mourns the loss of Lily.

If there was ever anyone that could talk Billy into something, it would probably be Chelsea. They have a crazy past, and with her trying to make up for her past mistakes, this might guilt Billy a bit into this new idea.
