The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will continue to get sicker as the New Year passes. Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) anxiety about Chelsea’s health will increase and he will need to lean on his loved ones.
Adam’s circle is very small. Those who care about him are his father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), his ex-wife Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), and his mentor Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). It is likely he will lean on these three people, which will put the Newmans in a very bad mood.
Y&R Spoilers – Will Chelsea Newman Get Better?
While Chelsea’s health is not looking good right now, that doesn’t mean that she will exit the show. Sharon was very sick with stage 2 breast cancer and she recovered. In other soap operas, characters have survived worse. However, that doesn’t mean that The Young and the Restless doesn’t plan on killing her character off.

Her illness could be a plot point to drive Sharon back at Adam’s side. Y&R spoilers suggest that Sharon will be a great soap of support to Adam while he deals with the severity of Chelsea’s condition.
Adam and Sharon have electrifying chemistry, so that could wreak havoc on their relationships with Chelsea and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). Even if they aren’t interested in each other romantically, when they are together, it’s as if no one else is in the room.

The biggest question is if the actress has decided to leave the show. At the time of this writing, there has been no announcement from Young and the Restless, CBS, or the actress on her contract status.

CBS has a policy that they do not comment on actor’s contract statuses. However, typically, the actors will confirm or deny the casting rumors. Egan has been silent on her future on Y&R, something that has made the viewers extremely nervous.

If Melissa left I wouldn't blame her. Her return story had potential but just ended as a disappointing mess. It went in a sloppy direction with arguments in the GP with Phyllis which were very silly and uninteresting. Chelsea has taken bit of a back seat since. Of the three characters returned Chelsea, Lilly and Phyllis, Chelsea has had the least efforts by writers put into her stories. There seems to be now too many leading women for the writers to concentrate on and give them all decent stories. Melissa isn't a sideline actress, she deserves better so perhaps leaving might be better for her career.

I hope Chelsea is ok maybe in a coma for a short time. This could bring him and Victor together as father and son. Chelsea and Adam both need to be made whole and strong. There bond needs to become stronger than ever. Victoria needs to loose everything. Get Lily away from Billy. She should be with her kids. Maybe Reyes brother.
Hope they don't write her out! She is an excellent actress!! Still not growing fond of the Sally – I think she is trying too hard!
