Y&R spoilers reveal that Chelsea developed feelings for Rey Rosales (formerly played by Jordi Vilasuso). Rey and Chelsea never had anything happen between them and had a platonic relationship. However, Chelsea began bonding and leaning on the detective a lot before his death. Rey even got very close to Chelsea’s son, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

So, Chelsea is really struggling with Rey’s death. Chelsea can’t let many people know how much she’s grieving. After all, Rey was a married man and Chelsea doesn’t want to cause any problems with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case). With that being said, Chelsea did open to up Chloe about it.

Speaking of Chloe, she tried to help Esther find a new romance. Chloe assumed that Esther didn’t know how dating was done these days. Esther surprised Chloe by already signing up for a dating app. However, she did need help with her profile.

Even though Chloe thought Esther’s love connection had all the red flags, she was pleasantly surprised. Esther seems to have found a good man if first impressions count for anything. However, only time will tell.

Chloe also knows that once Chelsea meets someone she’s interested in, she will put 100% of her focus on that man. In Chloe’s mind, that could be the answer to helping Chelsea move on from Rey. Chloe might even suggest that Chelsea sign up for a dating app.

Chelsea might be so distraught about Rey that she could not feel ready to move on. So, Chelsea might not be on board with Chloe’s idea. However, we haven’t seen Chloe scheme in a while. To make her character more interesting, what if Chloe schemes for a good cause, such as finding Chelsea’s perfect match?

Chloe could create a profile on Chelsea’s behalf and look for the “winners.” Chloe might even impersonate Chelsea and arrange a meeting with one of the matches. Then, Chloe could make sure Chelsea was at a specific location at a certain time.

Chloe could believe that she’s playing Cupid by these two people just happening to meet. However, will it really be a match made in heaven, or could Chelsea react badly to being secretly set up?
