Along with Adam, Chelsea blames Sharon for this predicament and intends to do something about it. So, she first has to convince Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) that she’s out of her mind. Then, the doctor Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) hired will determine what comes next. That process could take a while, depending upon how the Moustache decides to proceed.

With time to consider all matters Chelsea should realize that she hasn’t been thinking totally straight. While she was right to stop Adam from literally toppling Newman Towers a number of months ago, her resulting ideas about Shadam reforming Shadam were exaggerated by post-stroke aftereffects.

Victor is acting in his own best interests, rather than Chelsea’s, which is no surprise. He blackmailed her into accepting involuntary admission into the facility in exchange for the promise of not facing prosecution.

Time will tell if Victor lives by the promise Chelsea asked him to make. Even if that proves true Y&R fans have to wonder what type of restricted life Chelsea will be able to live when she is deemed to be better?

Y&R Spoilers – Sharon Newman Overcomes Another Crisis

Sharon dealt with cancer and beat it. Now, she’s thankful to God that her daughter, Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), appears to have had successful kidney transplant surgery.

Adam playing the heroin that scenario further deepens his bond with Sharon. No one in the audience is crazy to believe that point is true. So that means Chelsea’s take on this development is also sane.

Will Chelsea seek to restore her ties with Adam once she’s able to be released? Adam would seem likely to gain custody control considering Chelsea’s current mental state. So, he’ll hold power whenever Egan’s character is deemed safe to walk the streets of Genoa City, Wisconsin.

As of the moment Adam is plotting with Victor to go after Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) using Cyaxares. So, the Chelsea saga is on the shelf for now.

Egan’s anticipated late summer maternity leave could mean that Chelsea’s comeback plans won’t play out until sometime this fall. But Sharon would be wise to remain cautious this spring and summer, as Chelsea is resourceful and believes that payback is deserved.
