Nikki Urged Claire To Sell Victor On Her Happy Relationship With Kyle

In the February 6 episode, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) encouraged Claire to impress Victor with her happiness in her relationship with Kyle; but everyone knows Victor’s distaste for his father.

As Claire looked for guidance, Nikki advised her to highlight Kyle’s caring and protective nature-to focus on the best things about Kyle.

If Claire can persuade Victor that Kyle possesses some of his admirable traits, she believes she might win her grandfather’s approval for dating Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) son.

Eager to showcase her joy and promote Kyle as the perfect boyfriend, Claire is hoping for a family dinner.

However, we can’t shake the feeling that this could end in chaos, because Victor is extremely difficult to please-Claire’s got her work cut out for her, no doubt.

A Pleasant Meal Or A Dinner Of Doom?

This dinner could turn into a disaster if Kyle doesn’t manage to impress Victor and navigate whatever challenges he throws his way; for one thing, he has a past to overcome.  

One meal won’t be enough to wipe away Victor’s deep-seated disdain, which is rooted more in Kyle’s Abbott family background than anything personal.

Initially, Kyle might attempt to keep things civil for Claire’s benefit, hoping that a little courtesy will encourage Victor to ease up.

But as the evening unfolds, Victor is sure to push Kyle’s buttons – assuming the dinner even takes place; he hurt Victor’s other granddaughter Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) badly! Convincing both Victor and Kyle to see this through could prove to be quite the uphill battle.

Will The Hoped-For Dinner Take Place?

Should Claire’s desired dinner proceed, the outcome still may unleash chaos- Victor might press just the wrong button with Kyle, igniting a fierce clash between the two. This confrontation could spur Victor’s relentless quest to dismantle the bond between Claire and Kyle.

According to our predictions for the show, Victor is unlikely to relent in steering Claire towards another romantic avenue, making this dinner far from smooth sailing.
